Wife’s 2017 Honda Odyssey van is due for new tires. Just wondering what any SF Odyssey owners here could recommend? We live in PA where we (normally) get a ton of snow in the winter so that’s one factor here, they’d need to be good handling in snow and all that. Otherwise, just looking for like a decent mid-level tire we aren’t going to break the bank with. Size is 235/65R17

We do the separate set with Blizzaks for winter. So I can't speak to their winter performance. But when we buy them, we run Continentals for our all-seasons, for Spring, Summer, Fall. Our new Oddy (our third) has Bridgestone Turanzas OEM. When they're gone, back to Contis. ![]()

I’ve got Michelin Cross Climate II on my Subaru Crosstrek. I Love them. They are great in snow and rain, all season but snow rated and I think it’s a 60K warranty. I’ve put about 20K on them and they are holding up fine. Look for a Costco sale. I got $150 off 4. These go to eleven.

Michelin Cross Climate II are as close as a guy can get to a 4 season tire.

Several sets of General Grabber HTS 60's have served us well on our 2005 Honda Pilot. We live in eastern PA and travel A LOT in the winter for local skiing / ski racing and up to New England for post-season racing and vacation (but still in the midst of winter/snow season) and the Grabber's never let us down. It is reasonably priced (by today's standards) and a good performing tire all around. That said, if you want something that is better in the snow then I am partial to the Falken Wildpeak A/T3's that I have on our Suburban and also on my son's '03 4Runner. The Falken's are pricier tires than the Grabber's but less than the Goodyear Duratrac's and the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A or T/A KO2's. I've heard and read that the Michelin Defender is a really great A/S tire but they are pricey. Good luck! ETA - Where are you in PA? If you are near or can travel to Stew's Tire Center in Schnecksville, PA it would be worth a call to get a quote from them. __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

The Goodyear Assurance Weather Ready: ![]() Had them for 5,000 miles now. They handle better and are more responsive than the Odyssey deserves. Great wet and dry traction and they are much quieter than the Michelins they replaced. They ride a little firmer though which is probably where the responsiveness comes from. No problems during Florida’s monsoon season, but I have no personal experience with them on snow. The reviews I’ve read said they are great on snow.

That looks like a winner based on your experience. Pretty sporty for a soccer mom van too. Not making fun, they're great for hauling stuff and families, I drove one for a long time when my children were little. I celebrated when that era was over (not the kids, not having to drive the Windstar that is). I hear the Odessey is a good van too, much better machine than the Ford Windstar. Ours replaced a Nissan Armada for my wife, the Odyssey has a shocking amount of space behind the third row. It served us well during the car seat years. My wife now drives an Explorer ST, but we kept the Odyssey to have a vehicle in Michigan for her to drive because she won’t drive my truck. The Goodyears are “severe snow” rated, whatever that means.
