Nov 14th will be my 20th anniversary of being a Sigforumite. Also, Nov 14th is my first day of physical therapy for recovering from Achilles tendon surgery. In other words, it’s time for a karma.

This is the only place on the Internet that I call "home" and it's because of y'all. Before we get to the karma portion, it's appropriate to thank:
  • Para for providing this free digital oasis for us, and for running it in the manner which has made Sigforum a very unique community.
  • The members as they've provided endless laughs, insight into almost every subject imaginable, shown unsurpassed generosity, and my home is full of items that y'all have recommended.

When I first joined the forum, I was impressed by Wally's please and thank you karma since those 3 words aren't used frequently enough in today's society. Therefore, 90% of the karmas I've offered have followed that format.

    Here are the rules:
  • Your post must contain both the words “please” and "thank you" (thanks is acceptable). As long as it's polite, feel free to creatively use the words. In the past, people have been very creative and it made me smile and/or chuckle.
  • You must have an e-mail address in your profile or in your post.
  • You must have been a member on or before 11/7/25.
  • On Nov 14th - I’ll printout the thread, cutout the Sigforumite poster names, pull the two winners out of a hat, and e-mail the two winners.
  • The winner must respond to my e-mail within 72 hours or I’ll redraw.

Two winners will be selected on Nov 14th:
    1. Member with less than 20 years
    2. Member with greater than or equal to 20 years

Each winner will receive a $100 electronic gift card to Amazon.

    Well, unlucky #1!

Please consider me for this kind karma. Thank you in advance.

I've always enjoyed your posts. Now PLEASE don't run with those scissors you are using to cut out our names!

    Count me in, please.

I too look at this forum as an oasis of sanity on an internet loaded with nonsense. I'm not a prolific poster like some, but rest assured that I stop in at least once daily.

Congrats on the benchmark achievement, and thanks for some laughs and sage advise along the way!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I'll be the contrarian here. First of all Thank You for a most excellent Karma, it is part of the glue that holds this forum together. I think there are many here who are deserving, but NOT me due to my relative newness and low post count, so PLEASE do not include me in the selection process.
