I'm looking to add some heat rejection to my SUV. I'm not interested in the limo tint look.
I'd be happy with the stock window shade but want to increase the heat rejection- Basically my car is like a sauna every time I get in after it's been parked outside with just the front sunscreen things I put up on the windshield. I certainly don't mind making it a little darker, if it means better performance. (just not blacked out) The cost is less of a factor for the right product. I see tint shops offering ceramic this and that, films by 3M, Llumar, XPEL, and many others. Just not sure what I am buying and don't want to get ripped off.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I’ve used 3m crystalline and Autobahn i3 (Huper Optik) and they’re great. Put air 80 (again, Huper Optik) on a windshield and that also went well.

When I last looked into this years ago Huper Optik who was the lead dog in the race. Their ceramic coatings are apparently very effective with nominal reduction to light.

After nearly 4 years with 50% 3M Crystalline installed (in the armpit of the South), I would definitely buy it again.

I had the high dollar ceramic put in last year. Absolutely worth it, no question. Tint darkness doesn't have much or any impact on the percentage of heat let through when it comes to that stuff.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

3M Crystaline is going to be the best but it is expensive. I use SunTeK CIR Ceramic Window Film and it has been outstanding and is a bit cheaper than the 3M.
