https://thefederalist.com/2025...ing-antifa-violence/ It turns out that the rank corruption that plagued the Biden FBI was worse than most Americans realized. On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee released a bevy of records related to the agency’s Biden-era “Arctic Frost” inquiry. That probe ultimately became Special Counsel Jack Smith’s elector lawfare against Donald Trump. As The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland summarized, these new documents show how the Biden FBI “used the Arctic Frost investigation to target Republicans in key battleground states, raising serious questions concerning whether the Democrat-led DOJ plotted with state prosecutors to bring criminal charges against Trump supporters.” What’s particularly notable about the newly disclosed records is the wide range of Trump-affiliated figures targeted throughout the FBI’s invasive probe. Of the more than 150 individuals who faced increased scrutiny from the agency was none other than Ed Corrigan, the president and CEO of the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI). On Sept. 12, 2022, an unnamed official with the FBI’s Seattle Field Office sent an email to another unidentified official within the agency’s Washington, D.C. Field Office regarding Corrigan. The partially redacted email shows that the Seattle-based FBI official cited claims from an unidentified individual, who, as maintained by this official, said the CPI president “is pro-Putin and anti-Biden.” “[Redacted] along with [redacted] colleague at the [redacted] [redacted], consider what Corrigan is doing ‘treason,'” the email reads. The Seattle-based official went on to discuss further claims from this unidentified source. Among them were the outlandish arguments that Corrigan “and his boss Mark Meadows are engaging in willful criminal activity,” and that the CPI CEO “has [redacted] properties at which he wants to build up infrastructure to train people for civil war.” The Seattle-based FBI official also appeared to parrot deranged left-wing talking points about Corrigan. Addressing the unidentified D.C.-based FBI official, the Seattle agent wrote, “Corrigan secretly controls the freedom caucus and has plans that are not good for the FBI. Corrigan hates the FBI, who he refers to as spooks. Corrigan claims to have identified an [redacted] as a spook in the [redacted].” As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway observed, the FBI’s targeting of Corrigan “is so insane and so divorced from reality that it tells us the situation at the FBI was a million times worse than even those who think it’s unsalvageable believed.” “Ed Corrigan is one of the most beloved members of the conservative movement across every faction on the right,” Hemingway wrote on X. “[S]o much to go over here but one of my favorite things about this absolutely unhinged note from an FBI agent out of Seattle is that he was trying to imprison Ed Corrigan, of all people, but not the Antifa terrorists in his own back yard.” As noted by Pacific Northwest-based reporters and other media outlets, Seattle has become a hotbed in recent years for Antifa activity. A far-left extremist group, Antifa operates throughout America and the globe, and was recently designated by President Trump as a domestic terrorist organization for its purportedly “illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide.” A report published earlier this month by the Capital Research Center and the Discovery Institute details how members of Antifa have embedded themselves within the homeless industrial complex in cities like Seattle. As described by NewsNation, the analysis found that these left-wing “militant activists intentionally disrupt homeless encampment clearances and perpetuate street disorder to advance [their] antigovernment objectives.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doR3PiezzjM Another related article: Arctic Frost Docs Expose Breadth Of Biden DOJ’s Weaponization https://thefederalist.com/2025...-dojs-weaponization/ There could be no valid reason for such a widespread probe other than to destroy not just Trump, but anyone within six-degrees of separation. More than 150 individuals in Trump’s orbit faced scrutiny by the FBI after Biden’s attorney general approved the opening of an investigation related to the Trump campaign’s use of alternative electors. Documents released Tuesday by the House Judiciary Committee reveal that during the Biden Administration, the FBI used the Arctic Frost investigation to target Republicans in key battleground states, raising serious questions concerning whether the Democrat-led DOJ plotted with state prosecutors to bring criminal charges against Trump supporters. “Arctic Frost investigators utilized FBI field offices from across the country to conduct its investigation,” the House Judiciary Committee explained in releasing nearly 200-pages of internal emails on Tuesday. The investigators also sought more than $16,000 in travel expenses to interview more than 40 individuals, according to the House committee. The documents contained a list of a veritable who’s who of players in the 2020 election, including Steve Bannon, Scott Perry, Rudolph Giuliani, Jeffrey Clark, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Peter Navarro, Dan Scavino, Jeff Rosen, and Ed Martin. Jack Smith issued subpoenas targeting more than 400 Republicans in Arctic Frost case, Grassley says https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter Then-Special Counsel Jack Smith issued nearly 200 subpoenas in his sweeping Arctic Frost-linked case against President Donald Trump related to the 2020 election and the events of January 6, 2021, seeking records on more than 400 Republican personalities and groups, according to records related Wednesday by a top Senate investigator. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, made public 197 subpoenas which Smith and his Biden-era DOJ team issued “as part of the indiscriminate election case against President Trump,” the Republican senator’s office said on Wednesday. Smith’s case began at the FBI — led at the time by now-former FBI Director Chris Wray — under the codename of “Arctic Frost.” The records released by Grassley provide even more new insights into the sweeping investigation aimed at Trump World, which was launched by the FBI and later picked up by Smith under then-Attorney General Merrick Garland. The GOP-led House Judiciary Committee had previously disclosed on Tuesday that more than 160 Republicans – including many closely connected to Trump – were targeted for possible investigation during the Arctic Frost investigation. Grassley’s office said the subpoenas, which were provided to him by whistleblowers, were sent to 34 people and 163 businesses, and that the subpoenas “requested testimony, communications, and records related to at least 430 named Republican individuals and entities.” The records Smith subpoenaed included “communications with media companies such as CBS, Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, Sinclair, and others,” Grassley’s office said, as well as “communications with White House advisors” such as Stephen Miller, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, senior adviser Dan Scavino, Trump daughter-in-law Lara Trump, and others. The 197 subpoenas, totaling more than 1,700 pages long, also went after “statistical data and analysis relating to donors and fundraising efforts” and “broad financial data relating to conservative individuals and entities,” the Iowa Republican’s office said. On top of this, the subpoenas also related to communications with “any member, employee or agent of the Legislative Branch of the U.S. Government.” The list of subpoena targets compiled by Grassley’s staff shows Smith demanding information from financial institutions, conservative groups, Republican organizations, and Trump-allied entities. “Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus. Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a fishing expedition,” Grassley said during a Wednesday press conference, contending that “if this happened to the Democrats, they’d be as rightly outraged as we are.” Earlier this week, the House Judiciary Committee led by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said that “45 individuals” including former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon, Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, former Trump attorney John Eastman, and former Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., “were potentially under investigation.” The GOP-led committee argued that “another 111 individuals” including Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro, former Trump DOJ official Jeff Rosen, and current DOJ weaponization czar Ed Martin “were also potentially under investigation.” The Jordan-led committee also publicly released on Tuesday letters from December 2022 from the leaders of the January 6 select congressional committee — headed up by Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Ga., and former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo. — telling Smith that they “want to make evidence we have gathered available to the Department of Justice.” Cheney went on to endorse now-former Vice President Kamala Harris in her unsuccessful race against Trump last year. Recently-declassified revelations related to Arctic Frost chronicle the 2022 lawfare assault against Trump and MAGA world, as criminal inquiries – which would soon lead to criminal charges – spun into high gear as Trump leaned toward running for president again. New evidence shows that Wray, Garland, and then-Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco signed off on the launch of the Arctic Frost inquiry into Trump related to the Capitol riot. Unearthed emails also show that the Biden White House Counsel’s Office coordinated with an anti-Trump FBI agent to hand over phones which had belonged to Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence. Arctic Frost also targeted dozens of GOP officials and organizations, according to documents released earlier this year. The recent revelation that the FBI snooped on the phone records of Republican members of Congress during its January 6 investigation is also bringing greater scrutiny to Wray and Smith. These revelations are also putting the spotlight on former FBI agent Timothy Thibault, whom Republicans argue showed extreme anti-Trump bias, demonstrated a willingness to target Trump early in his first term, attempted to slow walk or block the FBI’s investigation into Hunter Biden, and in early 2022 helped spark Arctic Frost investigation — later carried on by Smith — which led to criminal charges against Trump related to the Capitol riot. Smith indicted Trump in August 2023 related to the then-former president’s alleged actions surrounding the 2020 election, with superseding charges in August 2024. Smith contended that Trump “pursued unlawful means of discounting legitimate votes and subverting the election results.” Judge Tanya Chutkan dismissed the January 6-related case against Trump in November 2024 after Trump’s win, pointing to the Office of Legal Counsel’s position that a sitting president could not be prosecuted by his own DOJ. Smith released his report on his January 6-related effort against Trump in January of this year, a couple weeks before Trump’s second inauguration. The special counsel report concluded that “substantial evidence demonstrates that Mr. Trump then engaged in an unprecedented criminal effort to overturn the legitimate results of the election in order to retain power.” _________________________

The 'Arctic Frost' Spying Scandal Gets So Much Worse, and It Leads Back to Infamous Judge Boasberg https://redstate.com/bonchie/2...ge-boasberg-n2195657 As RedState reported, Republican senators held a press conference on Wednesday, and what they revealed about the Arctic Frost scandal was incredibly disturbing. Describing it as "worse than Watergate," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) presented evidence that 92 different conservative organizations or individuals were targeted by Jack Smith and the Biden-era Department of Justice. All of this was done under the guise of going after President Donald Trump over the 2020 election, and eight GOP senators also had their phone records subpoenaed, among other intrusions. That's where things get even crazier. According to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), infamous left-wing Judge James Boasberg was near the heart of this scandal, helping the Biden administration cover its tracks. If you aren't familiar with Boasberg, he's the same judge who tried to hold the Trump administration in contempt for not magically turning around planeloads of illegal immigrants that had already taken off and left U.S. airspace. That would eventually be vacated on appeal, with Judge Neomi Rao chastising Boasberg for threatening contempt over an order he never had the power to enforce in the first place. The district court used the threat of criminal contempt to coerce the Executive Branch to comply with an order it had no authority to enforce. And it directed that coercion toward the Executive’s exercise of its foreign affairs power. The significance of the district court’s error, coupled with the potential for abuse in future cases, justifies our intervention at this stage of the proceedings. Considering the “totality of the circumstances,” the writ is appropriate. Boasberg, who was appointed by Barack Obama, has worn his biases on his sleeve and made a mockery of the justice system for his political ends. In that context, it's not even that surprising that he was also involved with Arctic Frost. Why wouldn't he be? I mean, the country is basically run by half a dozen left-wing district court judges at this point. That's why you keep seeing these same names pop up again and again. Per Cruz, Boasberg claimed that the Texas senator would destroy evidence if he were given legal notice of the subpoena of his phone records. The judge further asserted that national security would be imperiled in the process. That is a ridiculous overreach. In no way would national security have been harmed because the investigation had nothing to do with national security. It was a ginned-up witch hunt targeting Americans. There was no actual evidentiary predicate to spy on Cruz and the other GOP senators involved, nor anyone else, for that matter. Instead, the Biden administration sensed an opportunity to put its political opponents on ice going into future elections, and they took it. That it didn't work out the way they had hoped doesn't make the situation any less serious. I also find the idea that Cruz would "destroy evidence" to be highly specious. Evidence of what? That he had spoken to Trump? Is that illegal now? And even then, Boasberg's reasoning makes no sense. How would Cruz destroy records that AT&T possessed? Was the senator going to hack in and clear his account records? The entire thing is laughable and an obvious excuse to try to help the Biden administration cover up for its scandalous behavior. Justifiably, Cruz is now calling for Boasberg to be impeached. While a conviction in the Senate would be unlikely, the GOP-controlled House only needs a bare majority to file articles of impeachment and force a trial. They should absolutely do so. Boasberg should be made to publicly answer for his behavior. Let's see how he functions when he can't hide behind his title to abuse his power. _________________________
