I had a RHD Civic hatchback for a few days in college. Took almost no adjustment. But, I live in Houston. On the highway, the reduced left side visibility is less of an issue. I actually had a harder time going back to my LHD Civic. Kept hitting the door with my left hand reaching for the stick, hit the wipers instead of the blinker. And, the clutch on mine was much heavier than the peppier JDM model. The Enemy's gate is down. | |||

Maine says these are "off road farm equipment" and as such can only be driven on roads marked 35mph or less. We actually had a big deal where they de-registered a bunch of the JDM mini trucks and micro vans due to reclassification as off road vehicles (aka ATVs). Such a crock, they are too big for trails, too small/unsafe for roads in the eyes of the State. I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself. | |||

Very popular in Europe and used by a lot of tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, and such) as they carry enough material or equipment for small jobs, and they are easy to park and pretty nippy around congested city streets. That sucks. Maine is where I first saw these things. A guy by our camp had a Honda Van version all decked out for ice fishing. As far as being too big for trails, single track sure, these are way smaller than the four door Polaris and the like. I love that the bed sides fold down and you have a true flat bed. They even have little rubber pads on the body so that the side rails don't bang around. The more I tool around in this thing the more I like it. | |||

I'm curious of the pricing compared to UTVs. I loved driving the tiny trucks in Qatar. Something like this would be perfect for my acreage. | |||

Back in the ‘80’s, the golf course I worked at had a Daihatsu. I think it had a mechanical speed/throttle limiter. With it defeated, the little truck would cook right along, even loaded up with irrigation tools and parts. And, For fun, Google engine swaps for these things. There are some really cool ones. | |||
