Torpedo Heaters - recomendations
I want to buy a Torpedo type heater primarily for my garage.
I want a Diesel fired burner and a output of approx. 100,000 BTU.
This would be for occasional use for taking the chill off while working in the garage.
PRICE MATTERS.

This style works great. Have used them in basements with absolutely 0 carbon monoxide.
Have to look around, but I'm sure there is a diesel option available.

I have used both, but not diesel for years. I switched from diesel to propane probably 20 years ago, and never looked back. Propane leaves no smell. I'm sure in the last 20 years everything has improved. Therefore I have no idea which is better these days.

I would not run a diesel (or kerosene) torpedo heater in an enclosed place. They emit carbon monoxide and will kill you if you’re not very careful.

We only used them in houses we were building that weren’t buttoned up. Please consider some other alternative.

I have no shortage of Diesel fuel at home. It seems that most run on diesel, kerosene, jet fuel.
Looking for brands that are less expensive, this is for occasional use in the UN-attached garage.

No matter what you use, get a carbon monoxide detector to keep you safe!!
