LaRue Tactical Aardvark saves the day
Picked up a large piece for road junk for a flat tire. Spent a long time under the truck trying to get the spare down (OEM tools did not want to work), wife on my case to get my oxygen. Broke out the bottle and found that my tank wrench had come off my belt. Scrambled through packs and trays but no suitable tool. Wife (bless her heart) saw my aardvark on my go pack and suggested we try. As luck would have it, the notch above the rear foot worked perfectly.

Just another day in paradise.

Great that it saved you.

But you do know it's an Armadillo and not an Aardvark right?

When I saw Aardvark, I thought they had a newer model.Smile I have several of the armadillos. I think they were called "Beverage entry tools."

Simply a “play on words” that did not play well. I upset some Texans by ridiculing their state animal, the armydildo.

Big Grin Major faux pas! If a man is from Texas, he'll tell you. If he's not, why embarrass him? Big Grin

It takes a lot of training for a Tactical Aardvark to become a Texas Armadillo.

^^^And supplemental oxygen! Razz

Seriously though, you might consider a AAA membership, or something similar if you were in need of Oxygen due to the exertion involved with extricating the spare from under your truck. If you're wife was over-reacting, then never mind. Wink

We did end up calling AAA, they could not get tool to work either. Called dealership to find out why tool would not work and found that I did not have the right tool in my kit. Carried the truck to the dealership to change tire and get right tool. 3 1/2 hours to change a tire. Mad

Waiting for the tire change, a little girl, maybe 6, sitting with her mom and dad kept looking over at me so I winked at her and got her giggling. As we were leaving, she ran up to me and gave me a picture she had drawn, two lamas, a tree and bright sun. I have it in a file with my important papers. God bless that little girl.

Just another day in paradise.
