Tucker Carlson just reporting that an airplane crashed into a General Mills facility. This is not an isolated event.

What the hell is going on? Is it all these Peckerwoods we let into the country without knowing who the hell they are?

Perhaps its time to turn off the 24 hour news for a little bit.

This isn't "Food Processor 9/11".

The news story from that Tweet you posted is from February 22nd, two months ago:
https://www.newsweek.com/7-inj...isible-miles-1681614

Today's plane crash was a small Cessna aircraft that developed engine trouble after takeoff from a nearby airport then crashed into some empty trailers in the parking lot of a General Mills plant. General Mills reports that no damage was done to the plant itself, and no employees were injured.

He’s not interested in the story. He’s more interested in proving some erudite point that he thinks is mighty. Probably has Tucker derangement syndrome due to the bloviating acerbic nature of his post. Oh well …

Nope. I'm just severely allergic to bullshit hysteria, clickbait, and conspiracy theories.

They're manipulating you to get a kneejerk emotional response to their "shocking" stories, to increase viewership/clicks and generate additional profit for themselves from ad revenues. And it's working. The talking head/social media influencer says "They're burning down the food processing plants with airplanes!" and people then go "OMG They're burning down the food processing plants, I gotta tell everyone!!!" without bothering to do any critical thinking or research of their own.

Factories and warehouses catch fire all the damn time.

U.S. fire departments responded to an estimated average of 1,210 fires in warehouse properties per year:
https://www.nfpa.org/-/media/F...fety/oswarehouse.pdf

Municipal fire departments in the U.S. responded to an estimated average of 37,910 fires at industrial or manufacturing properties each year:
https://www.nfpa.org/News-and-...facturing-Facilities

That's an average of 107 factory and warehouse fires every single day. Of which a portion will be food-related factories/warehouses, relative to the proportion of food vs. non-food properties.

A mere 18 in 6 months is meaningless. Even 18 in one day would still be about normal.

There is a tendency to overestimate the rarity of a series of occurrences with no actual common factors. 18 food plants sounds shocking, but the odds of each of those things happening are most likely completely independent of all of the others. We don't know how many such plants exist in the country, how frequent these occurrences are over a longer period of time, or how frequent they are in other industries.

If you spent some time searching, you'd probably find that a hundred gas stations have burned down or fifty school buses have crashed in the same time, but it ultimately doesn't mean anything.

I juts saw a clickbait advertising lower mortgage rates. That's not what is happening there, either. The point is however that some people make money off of speculative forecasting and right now there is a serious surge of prepping, storing up food, etc based on "The supply chain will collapse and we are going to starve!"

Which, taking a long view, has been going on since the 1980's, black t shirts, HK91's and coil of rope on your shoulder. Really.

There are some things going on - its continously reported Blackrock is buying up all the housing they can, or Bill Gates is grabbing all the farmland available on the market. None of that is a local event tho - nobody is reporting it online "My neighbor sold 1,000 acres and is retiring in Palm Beach." It's read on media more than experienced. We have a local developer who does that stuff, tho, and has largely avoided buying where code is enforced. THAT is something that can and will affect people as parcels are gobbled up for McMansion ghettos.

That's not to say these food plants aren't blowing up - some do every year. It's when there are more than normal and it keeps happening over and over - like, say, Catholic churches burning in France. There have been thousands.

One thing that is very much the same is migrants. In the US tho, we aren't getting tens of thousands from the Mideast, the latest surge were Haitians from South America. It hasn't been "Mexicans" for quite a while. A hundred thousand Afghani's here, another hundred thousand Ukraininans there, it adds up. Over 200,000 in March alone. Of that, dozens of known violent political operatives detained and turned back. They are eventually infiltrating, too.

Last plant I heard catching fire was a Hot Pockets factory. We aren't starving yet, then again, Americans are notoriously obtuse at seeing things.

I can choose to see nearly 8 billion selfish pricks on this ball of mud to contend with for air, water, food and sex.

Or

I can choose to not give shit about any of them.

Or...

I can find someplace in the middle.

Now, tell me, which is the correct position to take?
Door #1, #2 or #3?

No matter what you think, you are likely to miss the correct choice. (I'll leave the math up to you, but hint, it ain't 2 out of 3)

I will live my life as I see fit.

Do no harm to anyone as far as I can manage to evade them.*

Be kind to all I encounter, but choose where to cut them off.**

* I am like the rattle snake. I only want to lay on the rock in the sun. If anyone approaches, I will choose to move from the rock, to the shadow. If anyone pursue me, I will warn them.
Id they lay hand on me, I will bite them with ferocity they cannot imagine. All of it is on them.

**Kindness does not mean pacifism, nor weakness. Kindness may seem hard, but it is not malevolent. It is that which provides what is needed in every event.

I have lived a decent life, no hurry to leave, but no sorrow if the end be today.

Some try to hold tight to life in a fist, but life is like water. The tighter the fist, the less water remains. And the most one is left with, is a cramped hand.

Anyone that thinks they have control over anything meaningful beyond their immediate influence is going to be soon disappointed.

Snatch the pebbles from my hand....

So, you have pebbles, now what?
