Thermonuclear Vulcan |
I had an iPhone 6S Plus until I left it on my car last week. I found its remains in a few locations on the highway. A few years ago, you guys recommended an Otterbox case and I bought one. I was happy with it. I'm not sure if it was an early Defender or not. Shopping these things again today, I saw several complaints about the built in screen protector on the current Defender. I'm looking to the wisdom of the Forum again. What are you guys using? Recommendations? Thanks.....Zebulon

I had a life proof. Similar to otter box I guess. Total ripe off imo. The high pints rubbed down to the point of not being water proof.. I went to magpul again. This time with the tempered glass screen thing. Less is more.

I use the Otter Box commuter case, it's a little smaller and lighter, also a tempered glass screen protector. I'm pretty easy on my phones, at least compared to the kids...My wife gets them online for like ten to twenty bucks, never pay full retail.

I love the speck cases. They are not bulky like the otter box. Really depends on whether you care about the size and bulk. https://www.amazon.com/Speck-P...k+presidio+iPhone+6s There are 3 kinds of people, those that understand numbers and those that don't.

I use the Otterbox defender. You can pull off the plastic screen protector and use a tempered glass one. The pulling off takes a bit of effort, but no big deal. With my previous phone, I did. This phone I've just been using the included plastic protector. Works fine. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. I made it so far, now I'll go for more |
The phone is big. enough, I don't like to make them any bigger at all. I use a Neo Hybrid from Spigen. Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

I know they are commie bastards, but I've used the Speck cases for years and have had great success. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

Look at the Supcase "Unicorn Beetle" line. They are excellent. Used them for my last two Samsung phones ------------------------------------------------------------ "I have resolved to fight as long as Marse Robert has a corporal's guard, or until he says give up. I bought this Incipio Dualpro for my Motorola Moto X last year and I LOVE it! http://a.co/4756AtM "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. I use a Seido Kryptek case for my android; have used Otterbox before and this one provides a bit more protection... Speck Presidio Grip. It's slim, supposed to be drop rated for 10 ft, and the grips really prevent the phone from sliding either out of my hand or off a table or whatever. I also use a tempered glass screen protector.

Otterbox Commuter and tempered screen protector on my iphone 7+. Same case saved my iphone 5 many times. Case took some decent abuse.

Best mobile device case brand I've used. I've used a lot of cases Otterbox, Speck, Silex, Magpul...Sedio has been top-notch, with particular emphasis on their Dilex model. While not a virtual brick like an Otterbox, I wanted something that can handle basic impact and drops, like falling out of my truck or, slipping out of my hand and onto a rocky trail. The corners can absorb all but the harshest and forceful drops. Combine with a solid screen protector and you're good. For i6, your selection will be limited, so search on Amazon or, elsewhere, i7, i8 and X there's more variety.

Urban Armor Gear (UAG). I've had them on my last three Samsung Note 3, 5 & 8. When combined with a good glass screen protector I've had great results. Put about 3 years on the first two phones and recently got my note 8. They don't get loose around the edges like others I've used and are slim yet tough. I won't buy anything else.

I've been very happy with the UAG case for my LG G6. It's a little pricey but it's very well made. https://www.amazon.com/Plasma-...s=uag+case+for+lg+g6 Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

This. I use the Otterbox Defender since it's tough as nails, but hate the built in plastic screen protector. Poke it out, use a tempered glass one.

I've had a Magpul for some years now (tempered glass screen cover too) I liked it because it was slim and didn't grab my uniform shirt pocket. I've dropped it a few times and actually once dropped it in the sink and into a pan where it submerged for about 1/2 seconds until I fetched it out. (it's not made to go swimmin) I'd buy another one if needed. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A.
