For some reason, NYC people behave somewhat decently, in NYC, though everyone seems depressed.

Once they leave NYC, on average, they behave as if they belong in a monkey house.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the people with financial wherewithal that actually run NYC are not actively pushing back against this nonsense. It seems that like most leftists, they’re content with either paying outright because they can afford it or preparing to flee and take their toxic politics to less spoiled environs.

Every instance I hear AOC speak reminds me that a majority of America lives on buzzwords and slogans for facts and courses of action. AOC never has stated an actual.plan to her lunatic agenda. Scary if NYC elects this communist, many other blue cities will follow.

I live in Louisa County Virginia and since COVID we've had a huge amount of growth. People are selling their homes for millions in NY/NJ/MD and moving here. They buy a lakefront lot to build on and think they're getting a deal because of what they're used to. It's screwing locals and our Board of Supervisors seem to be encouraging this nonsense. As an example of how these people think: they are trying to ban wake boats on the lake because they don't want to put riprap on the shoreline of their lots to control erosion. They already have a proposed 500 ft buffer that will likely raise the taxes due to how much it will cost to get buoys placed throughout the lake. This was thought up by two Karen's that came down from NYC. It's hard to fight them because they have millions and all the time in the world whereas the locals are a hard working bunch with little time and even less resources.

I have come to the conclusion that most voters have as much depth to their analysis as they did when voting for high school student council. Ergo "Hope and Change" was successful.

Jmho, but AOC is no dummy when it comes to getting elected. She's a moron on the issues, but I believe she knows how to play the issues to gain power.
