You left out Jim Jones. Talk about charisma. There was a line in the WSJ about the candidate,"he had the kind of youth that did not produce callouses." His kindergarten ran 15 grand.

Mandani trounced Cuomo because - 1. He ran a simple message campaign supported by slick adds & enthusiastic constituents, he became the most appealing candidate for white, liberal, college-educated females. He promised free-shit, fixed rents, closed jails and cheap food while speaking in collegiate-theorhetical word salads through a variety of well produced commercials and did a LOT of interviews. 2. Cuomo has a LOT of baggage when he was gov of NY and Adams has the shadow of a Fed indictment along with a sexual assault case in his background. 3. Cuomo was plucked-off the scrap-heap by the remaining Dem fathers, he only started campaigning in March, refused to do a variety of interviews meanwhile Mandami was going door-to-door last Fall. 4. In a city where Dems out number Republicans 6:1 only, one million Democrats came out to vote in this primary. For the upcoming general elections moderates & conservatives are going to have to figure out who gets their votes to prevent a split. Adams is going to remain in the race as in independent despite his current status as an incompetent mayor with various legal problems. Curtis Sliwas the lone Republican candidate is hard-pressed to get more votes or the funds needed to increase his visibility, not to mention he's not very charismatic. Former Dem challenger and current NYC comptroller Brad Lander came in third, all his voters will go towards supporting Mandami so, moderates & conservatives have their work cut-out to stop this train.

The NY Democrats strategically moved the primary from Sept to June, for no good reason other than nefarious reasons. Most Democrats, with money, will not vote during this time, vacation, summer, etc. Die hard leftists will. IMO, the commie will not win in Nov. Yes, he got 400K+ votes in the primary, but there are over 5 million registered voters in NY. Interesting explanation of the election results. I watch old movies and have a nostalgic view of New York City as it might have been.

Yep, it's all about voter turnout. In a 9% turnout election the motivated minority will win. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

They need to have a registry for those who vote for this insanity, so they can keep them in the city when the walls come crumbling down around them. They should not be able to leave what they voted for and spread the disease to others areas.

Im inclined to just sit back and watch it fail. Time and time again they do everything they can to show just how stupid they are. Stupid should hurt. Of in the immortal words of the Kenyan counterfeit president ‘elections have consequences’

I’m not rooting for them to fail, but if they want it, let it hurt. Just imagine what you would get if college students were the only ones voting, dumb, freshmen students, liberal arts school. Years(many) ago there was a family trip to NYC, fine times. I have zero interest in doing it again.

Looks like everyone did forget about 9-11. What is this absolute horseshit? He's literally a terrorist sympathizer with his vocal (if not material) support for Hamas. Trump should just start building the wall around NYC to contain this nonsense...and require passports to pass in and out--like a US-based Gaza--unless something is done to stop this infestation, NYC is going to turn into London. Dearborn, MI is bad enough, but who really cares about Dearborn? Democrats have already ruined that city and the state.

Zohran Mamdani doubles down on plan to target ‘whiter neighborhoods’ with higher taxes — and says billionaires shouldn’t exist https://nypost.com/2025/06/29/...hiter-neighborhoods/ Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani doubled down Sunday on his plan to jack up property taxes on “richer and whiter neighborhoods” — while asserting billionaires shouldn’t exist. Mamdani — dubbed “the Fidel Castro of New York” by one deep-pocketed critic — claimed his soak-the-rich proposal was “not driven by race” despite his campaign platform explicitly targeting white homeowners. “That is just a description of what we see right now. It’s not driven by race. It’s more of an assessment of what neighborhoods are being under-taxed versus over-taxed,” Mamdani told NBC News’ “Meet the Press.” He also suggested that billionaires shouldn’t exist. “I don’t think that we should have billionaires, frankly,” he said. New York City is home to more billionaires than any town in the world — with 123. More at link _________________________

I hope every billionaire moves out of NYC if he becomes mayor. I can't imagine why any would stay, though I'm sure they all have fantastic tax shelters to minimize what NYC can steal from them. Freewill Firearms 07 FFL, Class 2 SOT

The irony is it was those white, college-educated neighborhoods who voted for him, particularly in deep-white Upper West Side, a chunk of Upper East Side, LES, Village, Brighton Beach, Red Hook, DUMBO, Williamsburg, only Staten broke that run by voting Cuomo. Asian and Puerto Rican's supported Mandani despite large chunks of Flushing voting for Cuomo, Blacks and Dominicans went with Cuomo.
