It is always nice to get something when you don't expect it. On the other hand. Expecting something for nothing and being upset when you do not get it seems bit childish. Obviously ymdv. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

I absolutely agree. The Rav 4 was 2k over mileage wise, 4 months on the calendar. If you don’t ask, the answer is always “No.” Which, if you think about it, asking, in and of itself, asking implicitly allows for “No” otherwise it would be a command. The dismissive , cavalier attitude of corporate was NOT asked for. I will not support a corporation that doesn’t support the product (thereby supporting their customers). Not liking them is not childish. Other companies have better track records

I bought a new 2018 Honda CRV. I get around 32-34 mpg. No problems yet after five years. More cargo area than the RAV4 and has a smoother ride, imo. I still drive my 2001 Accord and it has almost 400,000 miles on it. It drives as good now as when I bought it new. I replaced the transmission a few years ago. Love my Hondas.

That does seem reasonable and certainly they could of offered to help in that situation. I also agree Honda's are a good vehicle. Both my Toyota's and Honda have been solid. Did not mean to offend you by calling your situation childish. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Back in the 1970's we lived in the Chicago area. My wife, an "enthusiastic" driver, remarked that the rear of the car felt squirrelly on the S-curve on Lake Shore Drive, and she questioned the shock absorbers. Dealer said that they did indeed need to be replaced and was going to charge full price, as we were 200 -- TWO HUNDRED -- miles out of warranty. I wrote a letter to Mercedes-Benz of North America and shortly thereafter, received a phone call from the dealer, asking me to come in with the car for an expedited while-you-wait shock absorber replacement at no charge, along with an apology for the previous poor example of Customer NO-Service. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Thanks for all the input everyone. I had a lyft ride a couple days ago that was a rav4, I did notice the increased ride noise. It's for my daughter so it wont affect me much, and might be good for her to build up to better cars. I have also added the crosstrek back in as the prices have come down some, and added the crv and standard rav4 into the mix. My wife advised we wait until spring and to see when the outback is coming back. _____________________________________ "We must not allow a mine shaft gap."
