Boogie Woogie Queen
When I was a teenager, I mostly learned the Pine Top Boogie Woogie on the piano. I also grabbed Billy Joel’s arrangement of Root Beer Rag which was equally fun to play. Rag and Big Band era jazz are two of my favorite genres.

I recently snagged the sheet music for these two arraignments by Ethan Ulsan. Wish me luck in learning them!

I couldn’t find the live version anymore but this is my favorite.

If I had talent like him or her, I think life would be happy and good.

I'd play piano everyday.

They make it look so easy and natural......it isn't, at least for me.

My father had a Hammond organ that he played every night after dinner for over 40+ years.

Later, when I had to put him in an Assisted Living Facility, they had a piano which he played during the day and in the evening, he played hymns with the residents singing along.

Those were great

The drum solo reminded me a lot of Buddy Rich and a couple of the triplets were very reminiscent of Neil Peart

I forgot about these two. Technically, the last is not Boogie Woogie but it is Yuja Wang so I still posted it.

I've watched several of those and enjoyed each one, so cool the tunes they pick.

Dr K is pretty good but needs to change his wardrobe and lose the shades. Why don't US airports have pianos? I think I know why.

I noticed she keeps time with the melody with her right foot, and with the bass line with her left foot.

Thanks for posting, that was great.

Jools Holland was briefly mentioned in the OP's video. Those who don't know, he was an original member of the band Squeeze back in the late 70s, early 80s, went solo, and is now host of a long running TV show in Britain. He is also an excellent piano player. Here he is with Dr. John.
