For me it's a short list.

Sig 320-XTEN in a compact Glock 29 sized package.

Mountain Rifle version of the Winchester 70.

5 shot 3" barreled Ruger GP100 in .44 Magnum.

It won't happen but HK SFP9CC.

More likely to happen than the above but still highly unlikely - a micro 9 from Walther.

1. A P365-ish sized DA/SA micro-9. Modularity would be a plus.

2. 4" .357 Mag Scandium J-Frame "Kit Gun" with adjustable sights

3. Agree with the OP...a true compact/subcompact X-Ten

4. Interested to see where Ruger/Magpul take the RXM. Slimline? Other calibers? Grip options?

I wish a real manufacturer to resume production of the Silencerco Maxim 9 and update the trigger, optics ready capability, and reliability. Sort of like what Daniel Defense did with the Hudson H9.

I'd like to see a new round of "retro guns" like the s&w 6906, 3913 etc. coming out of the factory brand new.

I'd like Glock to expand the g19x mos features to a few more models. Specifically the tall sights and threaded barrel.

I would like Colt to actually make enough Single Action Army's to meet the demand in the marketplace.

There's been some rumor of CZ finally announcing a Bren 2 in .308 this year. It exists, it's been in production for something like six years now, they just haven't brought it to the US market for God-knows-whatever reason. I'd like to see that with a street price around $2k or less. Yes, PSA JAKL and all that, but I think a purpose-built .308 rifle with some recent years of combat testing priced between the PSA and the SCAR 17 would do well in the US market. They announced three months ago that they were going to bring one to the Canadian market, so it's not beyond hope. They're also building Bren 2's in Ukraine now, so that should hopefully take some of the strain off of CZ UB.

If we are to go retro, I would like to see Smith & Wesson resurrect:
Model 10, 13, 64 and 65 3 inch heavy barrel round butt K frame revolvers. And at less than 1K in price, thank you! 581 /681 3 inchers would nice, too!

More AR15-sized small frame .308 ARs in the sub-$1k realm, like the Ruger SFAR or DPMS G2. Make them as affordable and ubiquitous as the 5.56 ARs. (If they are the same size, weight, and price as a 5.56 AR, there'd be little incentive to go with 5.56.)

Classy compact wood and steel bolt action hunting rifles along the lines of the CZ 527 Carbine, in calibers like .350 Legend and .450 Bushmaster.
