scot818McDonald’s CEO in trouble for saying “parents failed” the 7 & 13 year old killed in Chicago, of course he’s racist.
Just another shake down for money. Sanctimonious thieves.

WoodmanIt is considered *privileged* [code for 'racist'] to refer to one's upbringing as being within a traditional family with both gender-correct mother and father present.
A common elitist insult is now, "What, did't your father teach you how to _____ ? (
drive comes to mind).

slosigI struggle a little bit on this one. Yes, he was 100% factually correct.
However:
1) Did it need to be said?
2) Did saying it help or solve anything?
3) Did saying it represent the company well (a big part of his job as CEO)
I suppose one could make the argument that, “Yes, it did need to be said.”, but it would be awfully hard to explain why a CEO of a major corporation needed to say it or affirmatively answering 2 or 3.

Kinda like Nike's CEO coming out and supporting BLM and Krapernic? CEO's today seem to have no issue coming out and making whatever comments they want to and potentially alienating part of their customer base. On the other hand, as a shareholder (not of NIKE or Mickey D's) I would prefer they put a sock in it and focus on shareholder value.

Yes, exactly like that. Though I agree 100% with what he said, it would be hypocritical to say that lefty CEOs should STFU about political stuff and stick to business and not say the same about a conservative CEO who missed an important opportunity to STFU.

onegeekI read the article. Then sent this to McD.
“It sounds like your CEO has compassion and wisdom. Support him. And do not bow to the race-based blackmailers asking for 200 million dollars of bribery money.”
