HobbsTravel well and rest in peace Jallen. We weren't friends and very seldom had conversations but I will miss your advice, observations and contributions. You set a standard and stood a watch that won't easily be met or filled ~~~

redstoneI remember a few years ago reading a post by Para saying something like 'it's good to see Jallen posting again' that was the first time I remember reading one of his post.
He will be missed and he was a big part of what makes this forum so special.

motoboyThis is a rough one.

I hope that I will go out with a fraction of the dignity that this man showed.
RIP Sir.

darthfusterI knew this was coming. We all did. Perhaps he'll be there to welcome me when it's my turn to pass through the veil. I sure hope so.
God bless you, brother, and grant your loved ones peace.

It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Jallen was both.

OKCGeneA good man, we all knew him from here, but I'll say that Jim was a great member at QRZ and was most helpful giving his advice from over 50 years as a Ham Radio operator. He helped many more people than you know.
I admire the way he lived out and faced his health condition with grace and dignity, always sharing himself up until the end.

SigSACI met Jim in person almost 12 years ago at a Bruce Gray class in San Diego. Enjoyed talking with him then, and have had email conversations with him on occasion.
I'm hoping that there is a message from him in an envelope waiting to be posted.

CliffMay he rest in internal peace. We are all better because of his wit & wisdom on the forum. He will be missed.

armoredI will surly miss him, so will everyone I expect.
I'm shaken and I never knew him!
I have a bottle of Duckhorn wine I bought after reading his suggestion, I have had it for several years looking for a appropriate time to uncorn it, this seems like that time, to his memory!

darthfusterI just told Mrs DF. She thought of him as a patriot and asked me to post this:
