I’m glad that his pain has ended. I’ll surely miss reading his thoughts on all manner of things here. You’ve earned your rest sir. Frown

I don't know what the SOP is for hospice, but damn... Frown

From the time he posted his farewell threads, I didn't expect the end to come this soon. RIP JALLEN.

JAllen, you are missed by many already. You were one of the strong magnets who drew me to this forum. I will miss your wisdom. Fair winds, Sir.

Wow. That didn’t take long. I never met the man personally but I’m saddened at his coming to pass.

Rest In Peace.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

There is a deafening absence of interesting articles posted in the past few days. I didn't always respond, but I liked reading what he thought was valuable.

I’ve been in the desert chasing mule deer. Camp to town for groceries and gas; finally got cell signal and took a moment to get my sigforum fix.

Very sorry to read this.

Jallen, you and your family will be in my prayers.

When I remember JAllen, I think of him as a great teacher. Here was a man, who knew he would soon pass on, who took the time to mail in his ballot in case he didn't make it to election day. I keep thinking about this, and frankly it really touches my heart how faithful he was to the ideas and principles of our Country.

What an amazing example. He has now been in Heaven four days, and I am still learning from him.

When skimming threads, I always would pause to read a JAllen post. I'll miss him.
