We have the BMW X3 in the bodyshop for a deer suicide, and just 3 days ago one of the fuckers jumped on top of the hood of my stopped in the middle of the road truck... and kicked the windshield in.

They have crazy good night vision and I’m sure these blindingly bright LED headlights on modern cars disorients the shit out of them.

Pretty patient and kind guy. Hopefully that deer will grow up to be one of the smart ones that waits by the roadside while traffic passes.

Another reason to up the annual limit in Iowa, there are about 30,000 too many here.

I wonder if insurance companies help keep the state hunting limits high.

The more deer damage = the higher they can raise their rates. ?

Of the three large animals (pronghorn, aka “antelope,” elk, deer) commonly encountered around where I live, deer seem to be the least intelligent, or the least capable of dealing with motor vehicles. Elk are sometimes hit, but deer are far more likely to jump in front of an oncoming vehicle at the last second, and a friend’s car was recently damaged when a deer ran directly into the side. Their relative numbers probably have something to do with it, but I’ve never seen elk just stand frozen in the middle of the road like deer (and that behavior was common as far back into the past that I can remember—long before LED headlights).

I’ve seen this before. It’s meth. Rewind and watch again, I’m pretty sure I saw her drop the pipe in the ditch.

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A tragic freak accident on Christmas killed a mother and her 12-year-old daughter in Cabarrus County, NC State Highway Patrol confirmed.

The accident happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, along Gold Hill Road. Troopers said one vehicle was traveling southwest on Gold Hill Road, while another was traveling northeast. The first vehicle struck a deer in the road, sending the deer left of center.

Troopers said the deer went through the windshield of the second vehicle, hitting the driver and rear-right passenger, identified as 31-year-old Melissa Mullis and 12-year-old Carson Cummings.

Both the woman and her daughter were pronounced deceased at the scene, troopers said. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

NC State Highway Patrol said no charges will be filed in this deadly crash.
