Diet tonic water helped my wife. Regular tonic water has too much sugar.

In a pinch, I have taken antacid tablets (calcium) to help alleviate cramps. ----------------------------------- Regards, Steve The anticipation is often greater than the actual reward

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
I think you mean "orthotics," which relates to the feet. Orthodontics is the term that applies to the mouth. I guess it could apply in this case if the person is a politician and suffers from Foot in Mouth disease.

I get leg cramps and some in my back as well. My doctor told me about Slow Mag tablets and I take two every evening. Helps a bunch. I'm notoriously lazy on my water intake and besides exercising and a low salt diet, I do not eat enough bananas LOL. Perfect recipe for cramps.

I used to be an avid cyclist, and knew that bananas (a potassium source) helped to prevent cramps for cyclists. So I took a potassium gluconate tablet (595 mg) before bedtime for awhile, hoping that would end my foot cramps. But it didn't. The cramps are definitely cured now though. Don't know whether the magnesium supplement or the extra salt gets the credit. I now suspect that it's the magnesium, but will continue with both. Serious about crackers
