They are working in and around Iron Bottom Sound.

Its not hard to find sunken warships there.

Ballard dove on a lot of wrecks in ironbottom sound. Wasp sank in deep ocean, though.

The Wasp didn't sink in Ironbottom Sound. She was hit in the waters between Guadalcanal and Vanuatu. Out in the deep, open, ocean.

Do they stop and take more than 5 pics of anything? They've found a lot of shit but we hardly see any pics

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

They no doubt have thousands but they aren't going to publish them all here.

My grandfather was on the Wasp when it sunk. He became a mud marine after that. He was in the Corps from 1938-1975.

I went out on LHD-1 USS Wasp when it was doing it’s sea trial. I have a Marine Corps plankowner hat from that trip

During the past year, researchers aboard Petrel have located numerous World War II-era wrecks. Since last March, the team has found the wreckage of carrier USS Lexington (CV-2), cruisers USS Juneau (CL-52) and USS Helena (CL-50), Japanese ship IJN Hiei, and USS Hornet (CV-8). Impressive. Please head to Nikumaroro and see if Earhart’s wreackage remains.
