I remember it being discussed here many years ago. IIRC, there was some controversy concerning cavitation causing issues in metal-injection-molded parts.

I have for decades.

I use the water soluble stuff that Brownells sells, not the concoctions that some people use.

Works great and never an issue.

I use a few different ones, one for car parts and one for gun parts. They each get their own cleaner additive. I've never had any issues by keeping them separated. The additives come from the distributor of the machines and are each different but water soluble.
