Many years ago, on KSTP TV, in the Twin Cities, Ron Majors and Cyndy Brucato co-hosted the 6pm newscast. One of them would lead in a story, and the other would deliver it. One evening Majors had this lead in:

"Cyndy, the scientists have sent a probe to Uranus, and found it warmer and gassier than expected." (You have to say this out loud.)

Knowing the goings-on at KSTP in that era, I have no doubt that Majors was fully aware of how that would sound, and how it would be understood. Cyndy tried, with fair success, to maintain her composure.
