I refuse to get this so-called "REAL" ID.
I don't really understand this. It's still a state issued driver's license. The "REAL" ID stamp in the corner simply means that they scanned your birth certificate. The Feds already have a copy of my birth certificate because it was required for a passport.
I got real ID, which was a huge cluster due to bureaucratic incompetence, but when I see how useless it is, I’m pissed that I didn’t just get a passport card instead. When I get back home, I need to pickup my renewed airport access badge. They are adamant that I have to bring government ID (driver’s license) *and* a valid US passport, notarized birth certificate, or something else I forget. WTAF did I get a Real ID for then?

I don’t believe this is correct. My understanding is that for international flights you need a passport, but one could use a Driver’s license for domestic flights. If/when Real ID was finally implemented, a non-Real ID driver’s license would no longer cut it for domestic flights. One would need *either* a Real ID license or a Passport.

fischtown7I had to get a Real ID when I renewed my CDL years ago. Did not take long at all.

Border crossing card
An acceptable photo ID issued by a federally recognized Tribal Nation/Indian Tribe, including Enhanced Tribal Cards (ETCs)
HSPD-12 PIV card
Foreign government-issued passport
Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada card
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)

SchmelbyI waited in line to get my RealID with birth cert., SS card, paystub and the
only bill I pay with a check, my electric bill. Below my correct address was
"lot #158". She said what's this? I said I think when they are building new subdivisions,
before you have an address each site has a lot number. Nope. wouldn't take it.
Had to find something else, wait in line again.

First of all, if the correct address was listed on the document and the "lot #158" was just additional information, she should have accepted it.
BUT, if she did not, she shouldn't have accepted it as proof of address for a non-RealID driver's license either. Did she?

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Agreed. But let's be honest, the folks they have working the windows aren't usually known for their critical thinking abilities or common sense.
Things like this are precisely why I haven't jumped through the hoops to get one. I'm 30 miles away from our office and it would raise my blood pressure too much to go all the way over there only to be turned away for some silly reason that any thinking person would overlook. Besides, I just renewed my passport and passport card online from the comfort of my easy chair. A few mouse clicks and upload a new picture - done, and I don't have to deal with dumb people.

PASigAgain you all seem to be missing the point I was trying to make here as you regal me with all the stories of all the BS and hoops you were made to jump though as actual citizens of your own country:
The Biden regime MADE you do all that while laughing in your face as they merrily allowed illegal invaders to board planes and fly wherever they wanted WITH NO ID AT ALL. I don't care that it's Trump now, the fact is this was done to all of us is enough to make me refuse to get this Real ID even now.
It's all BS

OK... no problem.
