Awesome! Kind of reminds me when I was cooking ribs on my smoker at my sons house in north Mpls. I had to park my rig in the alley next to his garage and cook there. He was having a customer appreciation party for all his real estate customers that year.
I had numerous gang bangers stop by and check out my smoker and ribs. Had I seen them anywhere else I would have been on high alert but I could tell they were instantly disarmed by the smoker and the food. They were all very friendly. I had several stop by later when ribs were done and fed them. I did feel that day there was hope.
My son has seen some of them since in the hood and they have asked how I was doing and if I was coming down to cook again.
