I remember going ice fishing many times with my grandpa as a kid. We would drive out to the “fish house” on the lake. Then towards the end of the season the fish house would be trailered home and stored for the next year. Great times. We then moved to Missouri and our subdivision had a 5 acre lake. We played pond hockey all the time. The only time I ever fell in was rescuing the neighbors dog after it couldn’t resist going after the ducks who kept a 20foot circle of water near the shore. By the time I got my skates off and ran home there was steam just pouring off my body. I hopped in the shower and even with the water set on cold it felt very hot. It was weird but I had to slowly turn the water warmer and warmer. I was fine after that but it was really weird looking like an overheating car as I ran home.

Based on my experience, ice fishing is a sport best enjoyed while drunk. Sheriff's offices here have hovercrafts for ice rescues. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Any "sport" in which it is accepted that you can drink while doing it, is not a sport, it is a pastime. Golf, bowling, fishing, etc.

I never thought about that, but it is so true! “Let us dare to read, think, speak and write.” John Adams
