So, I have bought countless things at stellar prices thanks to Amazon Warehouse deals.
If I don’t need something now I add it to my wish list and view my list once a day stuff turns up on warehouse deals quite frequently I have found.
Well I needed a Walbro GSS340 255lph fuel pump for my Mustang build. Great pump usually runs about $69 for the pump. Which is not a bad price at all but stuck it in my wish list awhile ago.
The other day sure enough Warehouse Deal $19.77!! Description says as new but damaged original packaging or something like that.
Of course I order it and the package arrives today. I step on to the porch and almost immediately start laughing as I can smell the gasoline emanating from the box.
Sure enough pick up the box and get a nice little dribble from the corner of the box. Cut it open guess the plastic plug had popped out and the fuel that was left in the pump made it’s way out.

For $21.xx after tax I really don’t care as long as the pump works.
It’s late and don’t feel like smelling like gas before going to bed but I am going to inspect it tomorrow.
I have a feeling someone may have skimped on the first purchase and bought the Chinese knock off and was unhappy with the performance so they bought the real thing and dropped the knock off in the package and returned the junk pump.

If it is an actual Walbro anyone know how I can test it before install?

Forget about testing it, just return it and order another one.

This. Amazon needs to eat the cost on this one.

Take a picture of the leaky box and they will probably tell you to keep it and just refund your money.
