Black92LXTrying to add new camera to Blue Iris: RTSP 404 not found
All my other cameras I just pop in the IP address, username, nothing else and the feed pops right up.
This camera is up and running. I can log in directly using the web browser on the same machine as Blue Iris I can also log in using the cameras app on WiFi or cellular without issue.
It is a Hikvision camera.
I type in the IP address then username and password. I get an RTSP 404 not found error.

mcrimmYou may want to ask that same question over here:
https://ipcamtalk.com/forums/blue-iris.30/I use BI too and haven’t had any problems with my 7 Amcrest cameras.
I'm sorry if I hurt you feelings when I called you stupid - I thought you already knew - Unknown

smschulzI suspect it is a streaming port configuration issue.
Either modify the port on your camera to the one your software is looking for or change the configuration in the software to match the camera.
RTSP port on HV cams is 554 usually but you can check on the cam directly in the config page.

When logged to my camera via browser
My port configuration shows the following ports:
HTTP
HTTPS
Server Port
My port options in BlueIris are:
Media/video/RTSP
Discovery/ONVIF port
If I match try to match the port numbers
HTTP or HTTPS to the RTSP port I no longer get the RTSP 404 error I get an I/O error: 0

That is what it defaulted to and gave the RTSP error.

I had just found that link myself and that was the issue.
Had to manually enter the RTSP path manually.
That ONVIF Device manager is pretty slick. Lays out camera info a lot better than logging directly into the camera.
