Over a decade ago, I bought a Magpul UBR. For whatever reason, I kept the box. Earlier this year, I finally pulled that boat anchor off my gun. It went back in the box. See? It works out sometimes.

I only keep firearm boxes. I think, but can't prove, that it helps if/when I want to sell or trade them. I don't keep any others.

Yeah I save everything gun related.

I also save regular shipping boxes from Amazon and else where till the pile gets to big.

Someone in here is always wanting the larger ones for moving. Like to keep them on hand to reuse then when I need the room I cut them up and start over.

Guilty as charged.

My dad was a MEGA box hoarder, "we might need them to move some day." We never moved, ever. They lived in the same house they bought in 1980 until they went into nursing homes 38 years later. One thing is a check and balance to my box hoarding: spiders. Brown recluses LOVE boxes, they shed their skins on the back of them, they roll around and play in them, they put their eggs in them.
