If the Henry Ford bug bites hard after your visit to Dearborn, you may want to consider a later trip to the Fort Myers area in SW Florida where Ford and his employee/friend Thomas Edison built adjoining estates, which are now open to the public to tour.

shovelheadAt night DO NOT visit Greektown. Hotspot for trouble. Fights, shootings.
Another big problem is ATV’s and dirt bikes on the main thoroughfares. Large packs of them on Grand River, Woodward, Gratiot, et al. Mainly at night but can occur at any time.

Such a shame, too

I recall going to Greektown fairly regularly with friends once-upon-a-time. Never felt unsafe, because it
wasn't unsafe.
The City has bungled that big-time.

Sorry to be a downer but the whole city is turning into a shitshow. On FB there is a group called the Detroit Scanner, he reports on what is going on at various times. Also Broadcastify in the App Store for monitoring what goes on there.
I have a hard enough time going there in the daytime.
