goose5So my wife wanted a couple of bird feeders.
One off the back porch, and one off the corner of my shop. And, ever since I've been fighting a pitch battle with mice. Crapping on a man's table saw is going to damn far. I bought traps a week ago and have dispatched 10 so far. Question. Do those electronic devices that repels mice work? What else?

Skins2881Sounds like you need a shop kitty.

ryan81986I've heard mixed reviews about the electronic deterrents. A few drops of pure peppermint oil on cotton balls is supposed to work well. Otherwise build one of those 5 gallon bucket traps.

SportshooterA truck stop owner installed an electronic rat chaser repeller in the pantry of the restaurant and the rats chewed the wires in two.
My partner and I watched how the electronic gizmo affected a mouse in a cage. The mouse was frantically making laps up, over, down and across the cage. I forgot to turn the thing off when we went into the house to eat lunch. When we got back, the mouse was dead.
We had high hopes of marketing that rat chaser, but a report out of Canada mentioned something about ultrasonic sound might harm or cause detached retinas and we didn’t want any part of that.
This looks like a good option.

I think it's worth a try. Don't overfeed it, though. Cats don't need a lot of maintenance--just food, water, and a litter box.

If he doesn’t have the time he can buy a kit cheap that attaches to any 5 gallon bucket. It’s amazing how good they work.
