Well, finally rolled 100k this week so it was time for my 5k mile oil change. Had planned to do plugs, coil boots, PCV, serpentine belt, idler pulley, and tensioner as well. However most of the family did not get up until about 10.
Usually everyone is up before 7. We got the boy a new bed so needed to get that built, finally started on the oil change to realize I had not picked up an oil filter so had to run out and get that in the middle of the change.
I got 2 so that mistake does not get made next time.

So, in went he LiquiMoly Molygen 5w-20. Weird pouring in neon green oil.

So 2014 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 with 100k miles. Switched from 0w-20 Amsoil to 5w-30 Amsoil and the engine was noticeably quieter. Can’t say it smoothed it out any, not that it ran rough.

So today with the LiquiMoly MolyGen 5w-30 the truck is more noticeably quiet, the truck seems to start smoother, and the idles smoother.

We’ll see how it goes!! Probably going to switch the Suburban over as well.
