Handled a Black Ribbon PDP the other day at the LGS. Wow, I loved the ergos and heft.

However, the trigger broke at approx 4+ lbs.

It was crisp and the reset was acceptable… wondering if there is a trigger upgrade available.

Frankly, it’s the only fault I have with this gun.

If not, I’ll pass and look at the Dan Wesson DWX.

Or, maybe the new Colt Gold Cup NM in 9mm would better suit my needs.

Use would be informal target shooting and possibly CMP 2700 Mathew for centerfire.

All the best
Billy

Black Ribbon PDP

PPQ is gone, PDP is the big boy in Walthers line, and they have several match grade models. They come with an "Dynamic" match level trigger.

Had a PPQ awesome trigger, have to check out the PDP.

I love Walthers but the resale prices on them suck. The Gold Cup would hold its value much better.

Also not much aftermarket support for Walthers. 1911’s, well, there’s a lot of parts and services available.

Good luck!
