Former President Barack Obama issued a statement reacting to President Donald Trump’s executive order to restrict immigration from high-risk countries in the Middle East, urging Americans to organize against the president.
“President Barack Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country,” Obama’s spokesman Kevin Lewis said in a statement to reporters.

Through his spokesman, Obama also opposed discrimination against people because of their faith or religion, although he did not say that Trump’s actions did so.

“With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before,” Lewis said. “The president fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.”

“Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize, and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake,” the statement read.

Trump should address the nation. Primetime, I'm serious. Him in the oval office, a camera, and a teleprompter. No questions after. Go over the specific laws that back this. Go over the historic precedent listing every president and what they did that is similar. Reiterate that every nation has a right to control it's borders and give examples of nations with very harsh entry requirements. Equate it to having a door on your house where you decide who comes in. Call out the democrats for inflaming anti-american sentiment around the world for political gain and clearly state that anything that happens now is their fault. No more Mr Nice guy. The democrats are literally trying to burn this country down and he needs to fight fire with fire.

During an anti-Trump protest in Seattle this weekend, an activist associated with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement took to the megaphone to voice her support for, among other things, “killing people,” and “killing the White House.”

At 1:50 in the video clip, she goes, “And we need to start killing people. First off, we need to start killing the White House. The White House must die. The White House, your fucking White House, your fucking Presidents, they must go! Fuck the White House.”

She also says, “White people, give your fucking money, your fucking house, your fucking property, we need it fucking all,” as another protester responds “reparations!”

I don't see this attenuating. I suspect this will not end without bloodshed. They are unrighteously indignant and cannot be reasoned with. They want what they want at any cost.

I wholeheartedly agree, and even better if he did it the evening he signed it. "Earlier today I signed . . . . and the price of protecting our nation may mean that a small percentage of the XXX thousand who enter this country every day may unexpectedly be inconvenienced. Let me assure . . . ."

It appears to be what's coming. Some of these people are so incredibly stupid, but they fully believe in their cause. The tensions seem to be ratcheting higher and the next level will be even uglier. I'm also sensing somewhat of a generational tension brewing.
