Executive Order: Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States

https://www.whitehouse.gov/the...fety-interior-united

little bit of the first one:

(b) detain individuals apprehended on suspicion of violating Federal or State law, including Federal immigration law, pending further proceedings regarding those violations;

(c) expedite determinations of apprehended individuals' claims of eligibility to remain in the United States;

(d) remove promptly those individuals whose legal claims to remain in the United States have been lawfully rejected, after any appropriate civil or criminal sanctions have been imposed; and

(e) cooperate fully with States and local law enforcement in enacting Federal-State partnerships to enforce Federal immigration priorities, as well as State monitoring and detention programs that are consistent with Federal law and do not undermine Federal immigration priorities.

Additional Border Patrol Agents. Subject to available appropriations, the Secretary, through the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, shall take all appropriate action to hire 5,000 additional Border Patrol agents, and all appropriate action to ensure that such agents enter on duty and are assigned to duty stations as soon as is practicable.

Trump court filing could be end of Obama overtime rule

The Trump administration on Wednesday indicated it would kill any chance of reviving former President Obama's expansion of federal overtime pay rules, with a court filing suggesting that it may withdraw a White House appeal of a federal court's invalidation of the rule.

"The federal government respectfully requests a 30-day extension of time, to and including March 2, 2017, in which to file its reply brief. The requested extension is necessary to allow incoming leadership personnel adequate time to consider the issues," the Justice Department said in filing with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

I bet the Trump Administration withdraws the appeal.

I recall it, or something like it, being in Shōgun by James Clavell. If my aged brain recalls correctly, this was said to Head Jesuit in Japan by the Governor General of Macao if reference to the Protestant crew of Erasmus

I know similar phrases like "Nits make lice" appear in other books, and it either appears first in the Tyndale bible or Shakespeare.

The 50 Mexican consulates in the U.S. will be advocating on behalf of Mexicans, Nieto explained. He added (again) that he does not intend to pay for Trump's border wall.

"Mexico offers and demands respect as the fully sovereign nation we are," he insisted.

Trump response:

The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico. It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.

How exactly do US border controls affect Mexican sovereignty?

I guess I have to get used to all the "nazi" and "fascist" comments--they're everywhere; people not clear on the concept.

I suspect the larger part of that problem is that these snow flakes were indoctrinated in what we laughingly call public schools.

What was the college the recently removed a requirement to have taken US history course?

In my view, most of these snowflakes' knowledge of US history starts about 1990.

Trump to Sign Executive Order Ending Obama's Unconstitutional Executive Amnesty

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/k...ive-amnesty-n2277191

According to reports, President Trump will sign an executive order Friday ending "unconstitutional executive amnesty," which translates to President Obama's 2014 executive actions on illegal immigration.

Trump's action to reverse executive amnesty will likely cause the most controversy of any so far and will certainly result in advocacy groups like the ACLU filing lawsuits. Sanctuary city mayors are also likely to triple down on their battle against federal immigration enforcement efforts.

It is important to point out President Obama admitted numerous times he couldn't issue amnesty through his pen. He did so anyway, knowing it was illegal and unconstitutional.

"Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. But that's not how our system works. That’s not how our democracy functions. That's not how our Constitution is written," Obama told the National Council of La Raza in 2011.

And again in 2013, one year before he signed the order:

They are going to need those ~100 federal judgeship vacancies filled real soon!

Better get going.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Mexico president cancels U.S. visit

https://www.yahoo.com/news/tru...-wall-140843415.html

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said on Thursday he had scrapped plans to meet Donald Trump next week after the U.S. president tweeted Mexico should cancel the meeting if it was not prepared to pay for his proposed border wall.

"This morning we informed the White House that I will not attend the work meeting planned for next Tuesday with the POTUS," Pena Nieto said on Twitter, referring to Trump.

On the 7th day....he will rest. Wink
I've been saying to myself all week, "...and it's only Tuesday.....and it's only Wednesday..."
It's both funny and sad how shocked I am that an elected official is keeping to their word and with such enthusiasm.

It's nice that they have all this free time in the middle of the goddamn day to do this, while the rest of us work.

The degree of parallel processing, planned trolling of the media, and implementation of actions satisfying campaign promises and leading to MAGA are amazing.

He is loading up the opposition/media with so much information, they are unable to process it, and therefore focus on the minor/trivial distractions (like size of crowd or illegal voting statement) and miss the real issues. Like what will happen when the investigation reveals that motor voter laws led to automatic registration of illegals.

Completely within the dems/media OODA loop - they can't react.

Basically, Trump's owning them, to our benefit. "Alinsky, you magnificent bastard - I read your book!"

stickman's link is to a Washington Post article.

they paint the mass resignation as a disaster of lost "skills". In reality this is a great opportunity. Tillerson can get his people in the top State Dept positions.

One of the main ones to resign is Patrick Kennedy. He was completely involved in the State Dept coverup of Clinton's misadventures.

From the article:

Kennedy, who has been in that job for nine years, was actively involved in the transition and was angling to keep that job under Tillerson

Then suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, Kennedy and three of his top officials resigned unexpectedly

Whether Kennedy left on his own volition or was pushed out by the incoming Trump team is a matter of dispute inside the department. Just days before he resigned, Kennedy was taking on more responsibility inside the department and working closely with the transition. His departure was a surprise to other State Department officials who were working with him.

**************

Drain the swamp.

"Tillerson was actually inside the State Department’s headquarters in Foggy Bottom on Wednesday, taking meetings and getting the lay of the land."

I wonder if Tillerson's first question was "who authorized the 221 million to Palestine?"
