Former Sen. Joe Lieberman has gone from front runner to out of the running in President Trump's effort to fill the vacant FBI director's job, a senior White House official told Fox News on Wednesday.
Before Trump left for an extended overseas tour last Friday, he told reporters the ex-Connecticut lawmaker, a Democrat-turned-Independent, was the leading candidate to replace James Comey, who was fired by Trump on May 9.
But things have changed, in part due to Trump's hiring of an attorney who works at the same firm as Lieberman. Marc Kasowitz, who has worked for Trump in the past, was brought on to represent the president in the ongoing Russian election meddling probe. Lieberman is a partner of Kasowitz’s New York law firm, Kasowitz, Benson, Torres.
With the FBI involved in the investigation, sources said installing Lieberman to head the bureau could present a potential conflict of interest.

Why does Trump need a attorney? Has this gone from a counter intelligence investigation to a criminal investigation?
What do you think the special counsel is going to be doing, who he will be talking to, asking for documents from.
Much of this involves the time period before Trump took office. Either way, you want somebody you can trust, not necessarily the DOJ.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown May 24, 2017, 08:24 PM
HRKAn attorney for trump really is a great move, it puts him in between trump and anyone that wishes to question or comment about any subject kind if like having a fullback to clear the path for your running back, it frees him up to focus on getting the ball over the line,

AckksThey are doing all they can to force Hannity off the air at Fox and it's absolutely disgusting. Once he's gone the President won't have any friends left there. I can't believe what I'm witnessing in this country.

sjtillIs anyone organizing a counter-boycott, contacting current advertisers?
The blood is in the water after the firing of Ailes, O'Reilly, and the death of Ailes.

You should watch Lou Dobbs. He is a few notches above Hannity in my opinion.

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

chellim1I don't like TV advertising in general, and on Fox News in particular. Fox News seems particularly geared toward the Heaven's Waiting Room folks. I find all of these advertisers annoying. The commercials do not influence me toward a buying decision in the least. In fact, I am more likely to look for a competitor. If they need or can afford TV advertising, a competing product is probably better. I'll usually get my dose of Fox News while watching sports on another channel and flip back an forth when a commercial comes on.

JALLENI don't understand the ad business. None of the advertising I tried in my business career produced any results except the ad manager calling me to sign me up for renewals.
I can't remember the last time I saw an ad on TV that motivated me to buy whatever it was.
Costco uses no advertising whatsoever, and they seem to do pretty well.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

TigerDoreThat's not the point. Are you going to let the Fasc-Left engage in censorship by telling companies where they can and cannot advertise? If Hannity loses revenue or gets dropped, then the Fasc-Left wins.

I cannot control the Fasc-Left and I have no influence over Hannity.

What does that even mean? Wins what? Open your eyes. Donald Trump is in the White House, not Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump chose our latest Supreme Court Justice, not Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump is driving policy, not Hillary Clinton.
With your defeatist attitude, you're already licked.
"If such-and-such happens, the Left wins. If such-and-such happens, the terrorists wins."
No, it doesn't work like that just because you say it. It's trite and boring and old. I can get that kind of defeatist shit on any news website out there. I don't want that shit infecting this forum. Just keep it to yourself.

Arizona tea is a prime example. Instead of wasting money on advertising and marketing, they spend that extra money on quality ingredients, a better supply chain, and employees. I bet most of you know who they are.

sdy http://start.att.net/news/read...turns_could_affec-apA private investigator in Baton Rouge LA tried to access President Trump's tax returns.
Jordan Hamlett attempted that just before election day last November.
Hamlett tried to use a U.S. Education Department financial aid website that allows people seeking financial aid to locate their tax records
He used both President Trump's name and social security number.
It's not clear how he got the Social Security number, but agents did question him about the internet hacking group known as Anonymous, which had released some of Trump's personal information
Authorities now say Hamlett was not able to get Trump's tax returns. He has been charged with misrepresenting his Social Security number, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Authorities have not said what Hamlett's motive for getting the federal tax returns was, and they wondered in the documents whether he was working with anyone or planned to sell them or release them.
The complaint against him was initially filed under seal, but it has since been unsealed and new details about the case are coming to light.

would be interesting to know if anyone hired him to do this

roberthI hope Jordan gets all 5 years when he is convicted on top of turning state's evidence about his sponsors.

what? Tell me. Specifically, please.
You're using defeatist language, and to no actual point that I can discern. Fighters don't do that.
