The Trump Presidency

Reporters tried to stir up the rioters by saying it had replaced the MLK bust, but both are in President Trump's oval office.

Leave it to the Brits to have lots of pictures of the inauguration.

How awesome would it have been if General Mattis had signed that cable by his call sign "Chaos". Smile

Saw bits and pieces of the Inauguration today at work.

The most symbolic part, IMO, was when FOX was covering Zero's "short" goodbye remarks at the AFB and they suddenly cut, mid-sentence, to President Trump signing EO's.

All coverage from then on was for President Trump.

Perfect.

If I would have heard the above while still in uniform, my left lung would have collapsed because my heart swelled so much. Now? I choked up a bit reading it.

I left the service in 1990 and haven't had that feeling of pride since 1992, and it feels pretty damn good to have it back.

I think maybe I'll put my flag back up tomorrow.

Somebody told me that Mattis has a bear rug on his living room floor. The bear is still alive, just too afraid to move.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

You've posted this already.

And I laughed out loud both times.

I am in uniform still on occasion. Thank you for posting the new Sec Def's defs first communication, sounds good to me!

I like the getting the most out of the taxpayer dollar part, I know a thing or two about process improvement and have been patiently waiting to help tackle this from the inside...so much waste and inefficiency.
