JALLENDid John Kennedy charge rent for guests to visit at Hyannisport? It was probably hospitality, which is what this is. LBJ had various world leaders stay at the ranch. Do you imagine they were charged, or was it a "gift of significant financial value.
As I understand it, the President gets a salary, which I believe Trump is donating to charity, and an allowance for expenses. He pays for his food, entertainment, parties, receptions out of that, or his own resources.
Will the Prime Minister and his wife be charged first class airfare equivalent for the ride on the Big Jet?
