Remember Bill Kristol? One of the most die hard fanatical neverTrumpers.

Kristol didn't mention this belief of his back in the primary, convention and general election days.

Bill Kristol:

“Look, to be totally honest, if things are so bad as you say with the white working class, don’t you want to get new Americans in?”

“You can make a case that America has been great because every — I think John Adams said this — basically if you are in free society, a capitalist society, after two or three generations of hard work everyone becomes kind of decadent, lazy, spoiled — whatever,” Kristol said.

“Then, luckily, you have these waves of people coming in from Italy, Ireland, Russia, and now Mexico, who really want to work hard and really want to succeed and really want their kids to live better lives than them and aren’t sort of clipping coupons or hoping that they can hang on and meanwhile grew up as spoiled kids and so forth. In that respect, I don’t know how this moment is that different from the early 20th century,”

Kristol said that he hopes “this thing isn’t being videotaped or ever shown anywhere. Whatever tiny, pathetic future I have is going to totally collapse.”

Over the next several weeks he will be meeting one-on-one with as many Senators as he can. He may say things that he wouldn't say in public. Of course, he's campaigning for their votes.

I don't think he's going to have any trouble getting confirmed.

This morning, the Judicial Crisis Network launched a national $2 million advertising campaign in support of confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. The commercial features Jane Nitze, a former Obama administration attorney, who clerked for Judge Gorsuch in 2008 and 2009. “I don’t think folks on the Left should be concerned about Judge Gorsuch becoming a Supreme Court Justice,” Nitze says in the ad. “He is extraordinarily fair-minded. He will approach each case the same, regardless of the issue or the parties before him, and he will have a great deal of respect for folks on all sides of the ideological spectrum. I worked for the Obama administration. I have to say, I’m 100 percent comfortable with Judge Gorsuch becoming the next Supreme Court justice.”

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

President Trump on Thursday signed three executive orders setting up task forces as part of a broader effort to reduce crime – orders Trump said are “designed to restore safety in America.”

The orders came as Trump attended the swearing-in ceremony of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was confirmed by the Senate Wednesday night.

The orders establish three Department of Justice task forces to fight drug cartels, reduce violent crime and reduce attacks against police. The White House did not immediately release copies of the orders.

Trump said he was seeking “to break the back of the criminal cartels that have spread across our nation and are destroying the blood of our youth.” The cartel task force would partner the DOJ and the Department of Homeland Security.

Law and order was a central theme of Trump’s campaign, during which he also pushed his hardline immigration policies. But he has also prioritized tackling violent crime, recently promising on Twitter that if Chicago didn’t get its crime problem under control, he would “send in the Feds.”

“A new era of justice begins and it begins right now,” Trump said at the ceremony.

As I understand this Nordstrom thing, Trump is standing up for his daughter. Nordstrom apparently canceled its contract with Trump's daughter based on their own internal liberal leanings and beliefs. From what I have seen/heard her line of clothing was in fact profitable and growing. Which would normally be good news for stores carrying the brand.

Lena Dunham lost weight from the election.
I mean, he's making fat people slimmer.

Looks like the 9th circus court has reached a decision regarding Trumps executive order- should be announced by the end of the day.

Syria’s Assad tells Yahoo News some refugees are ‘definitely’ terrorists

Weighing in on one of the most contentious issues in American politics — the danger posed to host countries by the 4.8 million people who have fled from Syria’s civil war — Syrian President Bashar Assad told Yahoo News that some of the refugees are “definitely” terrorists.

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo News at a presidential office in Damascus, Assad said President Trump’s freeze on admitting refugees from his country — part of an executive order that has drawn widespread protests and is being challenged in federal court — “is an American issue” on which he would not take sides. But asked if some of those who fled are “aligned with terrorists,” Assad quickly replied, “Definitely.”

“You can find it on the Net,” Assad went on: “Those terrorists in Syria, holding the machine gun or killing people, they [appear as] peaceful refugees in Europe or in the West.” He said he couldn’t estimate how many there might be, but he added that “you don’t need a significant number to commit atrocities.” He noted that the 9/11 attacks were pulled off by fewer than 20 terrorists “out of maybe millions of immigrants in the United States. So it’s not about the number, it’s about the quality, it’s about the intentions.”

As for the future of Syria’s 4.8 million refugees, Assad said, “For me, the priority is to bring those citizens to their country, not to help them immigrate.”

As with all interviews granted by President Bashar al-Assad, this interview was filmed by his presidential press office. No editorial changes were made to the content.

Not to say some aren't, but Assad's not exactly an unbiased source.

He and the storm he provoked are what made them refugees. They are his enemies - he's what they are 'refugee-ing' away from.

You gotta wonder about the reporters - couldn't they have found some more unbiased source? Oh, wait..."Yahoo 'News'" My bad. Wink

My guess is they want us to equate Trump to Assad....as in: "hmmmm....Trump doesn't like them, Assad doesn't like them... hmmmm...."

A quote from an official with the UN just wouldn't have that angle.

So the ruling is in. The ninth circuit of douchebags have upheld the lower court ruling keeping the TRO in place. Roll Eyes

I actually let myself believe for a second that these progressive activist judges might for once follow the law. Ridiculous.

Only one place left to go. Unfortunately may wind up as a 4-4 split, which would leave the court of appeals ruling in place.

unless one of the dem caves in and decides not to vote and that might make it 4-3

one could only hope

so we have set a new high bar in being low. A useless judge can now pre-empt and take responsibility for the security of the entire nation.

the first crime that occurs, the judge should be held as an accessory to the crime

fuck that noise - we need another revolution
