The incredible dedication and bravery of these people makes me very proud to be an American.

Edited to add:

My grandson (Nate) was medivaced by those guys when he got hit with that IED. We actually got some helmet cam videos of the incident, and the chopper coming in for the pick up. Not to mention the CAS by the A10s.

We met a 2 star general while waiting for Nate's medevac flight to arrive and Andrews. Her son was flying blackhawks over there. We told her about sending coffee and other goodies over there, and she laughed and said her son's most often request was for some "real" coffee.

Which reminds me, Thanks again to all the SIGFORUM members who contributed to send "care" packages to the team, or sent their own packages. I met most of Nate's team, and they all were very appreciative for the pallet loads of packages.

Thank you for sharing this. I've never understood why our Veterans from this war have been so mistreated and overlooked. Thank you to all the Veterans at Sigforum. Because of you we get to enjoy this great site and our second amendment freedom.
