Nor me either. And i have never seen someone do that to anyone in real life. Which is why i am not appalled by the commercial. To me its fantasy and that type of treatment is done as a joke in movies i.e. not letting someone talk. I'm a firm believer that hyper liberal women need a strong conservative man. My wife is a good example, she's now pretty centered. She was never third wave feminism crazy, but definitely leaning that way, but she Voted for trump, etc. since we started courting. Laci green taking the "red pill" is a great example. Women don't want a CIS-friendly mangina. Liberals men are weak, effeminate, pussies. They won't date you, want to be with you, knock you up and be a dad, they'll push abortion... and I don't care who you are, at 27-30 abortion starts to feel like murder. Take a liberal girl camping for a weekend with her liberal effeminate boyfriend. I guarantee you're banging her by the end of the trip. Women need a man, as much as they seem to hate to admit it. ------------------------------------ 135 ├┼┼╕ 246R

That seems reasonable; is there some other way to do it? I say that only very slightly tongue-in-cheek because I will probably doing it pretty soon to my new toy: a '96 Tacoma 4x4 that I expect to do all the work on myself.

I think for safety reasons they would actually ask you to get out of the car while the tire is being changed. So get off your butts and get out! Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

Yep. One time when I was around 19 I was about 45 minutes from home in a shady area and was having some issues with my 1982 VW Rabbit's driving. I stopped and took a good look, in the dark. It had around 300,000 miles on it at the time. I determined the axle nut was loose. Not the lug nuts...the axle nut. I was about to loose the whole she-bang. I called my dad and he told me 'good luck'. Got it tight enough to get me home. Come to find out, the entire wheel bearing had also disintegrated (at least the 3rd I'd replaced). Granted, I grew up on a working farm and had been solving (and creating) my own problems since I could walk, but I'd have appreciated someone else to watch my back as I worked on everything where I was. I had to change my tire at work a couple of weeks ago. 80 degrees that day, wearing a uniform and 30 pounds of associated crap, fighting a scissor jack with a fully flat tire...that sucked balls. I was ready to call AAA. No shit. Pride be damned, that was not pleasant. Be different if I'd had an air wrench and a floor jack. And wasn't fat and carrying all that crap. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. When she got her license, I taught my daughter how to change a tire. Today, her version has grown to having the car on blocks and the tires off. Turns out, in college, she ended up teaching a number of males how to change tires. She didn't have a lot of respect for them. The commercial doesn't tell how long they waited. I'll be it was long enough for her bladder to fill. “ The work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating; the work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.

Hard to believe how screwy times have gotten. Back in high school (circa 1977) a buddy and I went on a double date only to get the crappy luck of a flat tire while dressed to the nines. Any option other than installing the spare ourselves would have been unimaginable to us. We treated it as a challenge to see how fast it could be done so we did our impression of an Indy pit crew. We knocked out the spare swap in a matter of minutes, impressing our dates and arriving at our destination on time. I personally can't fathom the mentality of today's little bitch beta males. At some point they're in for a rude awakening. "Every time you think you weaken the nation" Moe Howard

I wouldn't put the blame squarely on today's youth. I mean, how would they know any better? The blame for this current crop of feckless young people I have to lay at the feet of their parents, particularly their fathers. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Spot on, This is why I'm making my currently 15 year old son rebuild a 56 chevy pickup with me from the wheels up for his first car. I want him to know how and why each part works before he takes it down the road. Tommy

You're right. Between misguided parenting and the schlock that school systems indoctrinate the young skulls full of mush with they're at a disadvantage. However, at some point they do need to develop a bullshit filter, read some history and decide to either be their own person or remain a little bitch. Nature abhors a cranial vacuum. Yes, at some point they should come to the realization that "hey, that's a skill I should probably know" and then take the initiative to learn it. As these young people get older, some will take that initiative and some won't. That's where they'll differentiate themselves. Like the teenager who couldn't change a tire. The real test is if the next time he has a flat, will he have learned by then how important it is to know some of these skills? Or will he once again have to call for help like a helpless child? I'll judge him on how he acts the second time, not necessarily the first. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Although I caught hell from my wife for it, a number of years ago I started telling my son that if he started a sentence with "I feel..." I was going to simply walk away and ignore him. The way to avoid that outcome was to instead start the conversation with "I think...". I am totally uninterested in his or anyone else's feelings on a topic, but I will entertain conversation and debate on any topic so long as the person across from me has thought their way through it and wishes to share those thoughts. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Yes, I agree. But there are a hell of a lot of kids out there without fathers. Consider what Larry Elder has to say about it (the whole video is worth your time, but the part that's pertinent to this discussion starts at 6:08, where he talks about absence of fathers in black families, through 8:15, where he wraps up with the parallel impact to white families). LOL Yep, this is all pretty pathetic.... "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

My wife and I have talked about this. How do you reproduce the real need we had when we were young to learn this stuff? We had no money, Dads had no money, and cars were unreliable, flat tires happened often--very often, damn bias-plies. No cell phones, so you were on your own when it broke down out on the road. Now we own Japanese cars instead of Fiats and Fords, pollution regulations and CAFE has made it impossible to do the stuff we HAD to do back then to keep them running. Teach your kid to change and set the point, replace the plugs, change the condenser? Set the timing? Sure we can do it as a hobby. Point is, we (and the kids) don't HAVE to do it, and necessity is the mother of invention...and learning. I fear our affluence and technological progress have ruined us. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"
