The thought of trotting out to 100-600yard targets to see my shot placement is getting old as I'm old now.My range will allow driving out to see 600 yard targets but that is time consuming. I have been looking at spotting scopes capable of seeing 22cal holes at 600 yards. Now I see target cameras that are roughly the same price. This might be a better solution than the spotting scope. Does anyone have experience with the target camera systems?

Reliably seeing .22 cal holes at 600 yards with a spotting scope is going to be problematic.

I don’t know what experience you have seeing .22 caliber holes at 600 yards, but what I have found is that the theory is often better than the practice. Being on the moon with no atmosphere would be one thing, but having to look through turbulent warm air even with the best optics available is another. Using “splatter” targets or trying to see black holes on white or at least light-colored paper would make things easier but even though I have no experience with target cameras myself, I would think they’d be the better option. I will be curious to see other opinions about the question, though. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. NikonUser is probably a good resource on this. Spotting 30cal holes at 1k yds (with target markers downrange, IIRC) The Enemy's gate is down.
