Link That also explains why the bevel seemed off for the possible uses I posted.

I knew what a drawknife and spokeshave were, but not a scorp. Apparently, a scorp is a loop of metal with only one handle used for smaller carving than an inshave would be used for.


The above is probably technically correct, most chairmakers use the terms interchangeably
