| I noticed some weird stuff a couple days ago here in the DeKalb area, but it seems to be OK today. As to suggestions, do what I do, look out the window. It seems as accurate as Accuweather or Channel 5 from Chicago. I do like Brad Miller's reports, however.

When I lived in northern Illinois for several years back in the 20th century I learned my local counties by all the severe thunderstorm and/or tornado watches/warnings. "The National Weather Service has issued a [bad weather of some type] for the counties of Lee, Whiteside, Winnebago, Boone, DeKalb, Cook, McHenry, Jo Davies, Stephenson, Carrol, Ogle, Kane, DuPage..."

Get my pies outta the oven!

| I use it all the time and especially the past two days with all this crazy rain we were getting here in PA and the radar worked just fine. In fact, it saved our butts last night. We were at a minor-league baseball game and I’m looking at the radar and there is massive torrential downpour headed our way and I ran and got our van and we got out of there just as it hit. As was mentioned before, try a delete and reinstall of the app.

| The “Weather” app on iPhones is quite decent. Including the “Radar” field. Pinch to zoom (contract/enlarge), and reposition the map. It’s built-in so you automatically have it as an alternative to Accuweather.

| It’s gone a little wonky on me lately, but I closed all apps and restarted my phone and it worked fine.

For real?

| I have been using Weather Underground forever. It's accurate and they have the best records. I'm always going there trying to get historical weather conditions when we do our crash reconstructions and comparing to bodycam footage from the date, it's pretty damn accurate.
