The researchers’ 2018 survey results, below, showed that in the wake of #MeToo, many people expected men to become more reluctant to engage with women at work in certain ways—even though such activities can be crucial for advancement. (A follow-up survey in 2019 showed that the backlash was even worse than anticipated.)

One of the many reasons I'm glad I work from a home office.
A year before my dad retired they had a big meeting for one of the teams with corporate leadership. Everyone dressed up (suits). The VP commented to several of the guys that they looked sharp, and made the same comment to a woman. That afternoon she filed a sexual harassment suit against him for the comment. By the end of the week women could barely get men to look at them much less respond with more than a yes or now with eyes down.

My wife works at home too, so plenty of sex in the workplace without repercussions

And I don't blame VP Pence one damned bit!! I will no more pay a woman a compliment now than the man on the moon. And it would take an actual act of Congress for me to ask anyone out at this stage, given the inane consequences that might ensue should she be offended that I even asked! (Most) women have ALWAYS wanted it both ways...better treat them with utmost respect, but get pissed off if you don't give them the time of day or disengage from chivalrous actions.
It was rumored at one of my previous jobs that a "certain" woman co-worker would show up at your hotel room door (if she liked you) wearing nothing but an open bath robe sans anything else. If you refused, you were all of a sudden defending yourself in a sexual harassment case. F**K. THAT! Fortunately, I'm old and uglier than fecal matter, so I didn't have to deal with that.
Tired of the games...
Sheldon sums it up PERFECTLY!!

Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

I got tagged with a Sexual Harassment suit about 20 years ago. I showed up at the administrative hearing with a pile of love notes and gifts she had sent me.
When confronted with that evidence, she broke down in tears saying it was all a mistake.
She was transferred to another Institution a month later.

Many moons ago, when the earth was still young,
I took a young lady out on a first date. We got to the restaurant and I opened the door for her, and she turned and responded with "I don't need a man to open the door for me." I let the door go and it hit her right in the face.
We didn't even go in, I assumed she didn't need a man to drive her back home either. I don't know, I left and never bothered to find out. I took some shit from her friends for a long time after that, but so be it.
Ill bet when the bill came for dinner though, I was expected to pay.
Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

A couple of years ago The Wall Street Journal ran an opinion piece ago decrying the ready availability of pornography on the Internet and its supposed effect on declining marriage rates. Although someone was evidently too squeamish to spell it out in so many words, the obvious contention of the article was that pornography and therefore masturbation was replacing the need for men to seek actual sexual partners. That wasn’t the only thing the author blamed for declining numbers of marriage, but he gave it a lot of attention. And if men are willing to seek satisfaction that way rather than go to the effort and trouble of finding a partner, how will their views and efforts be affected when making that attempt involves very real dangers?

You will never get an accurate answer from business owners and people who hire. A lot of running a business is risk management. How would employers not consider such risks? Can they? Should they? Those are the questions that can and should be reasonably asked.
I know the law says such things cannot be considered when hiring, but how certain are you that they are not being considered?

You don't even have to be anywhere near them to suffer. A number of years ago I was accused of sexual harassment by a female company employee in Italy (I was in Texas). My crime? She accused me of derogating her intelligence and education because I had given a too explicit detailed response to a technical question she'd asked about the software I supported. In my defense, I was well-known among my peers as a person who always gave a full, detailed, substantive explanation any time I was asked a question. The ladies (yes, they really were) in my work group were all aghast (one wanted to scratch the Bitch's eyes out) and went to bat for me with Human Resources. I was required to write an apology to the woman (she was no lady), which I did (reluctantly). I then told my boss that I would never have any contact with her again--any new questions she had would have to be handled by the ladies in our department. (She fully agreed with my stance.)
(Really? Sexual harassment for giving too good an explanation? I didn't even recognize that it was a female asking--she had an odd name.)

Yea. You're unwise to be too near or too friendly with a woman if you are a man.
Thing is, you can't say you're doing that lest you be accused of sex discrimination.
So men will quietly respond to the times.
Women will have less opportunities to advance or be hired and will suffer the consequences of the hair-brained "metoo" movement.
After years of inaction, I'll presume women are lying anyway. They deserve that presumption and have earned that presumption now-a-days.

The message of the metoo movement seems to be the same with most participants:
"I was offered the opportunity to prostitute myself for a job, and I took it. Now, many years later, I want another pay out, so I'm currently complaining about the decision I made."

A couple months ago, one of the young ladies I worked with came to work with a hole ripped in the seat of her pants. I discretely told her so she could cover up or change. A couple weeks later, I was summoned to HR about a complaint. She told them I was making her uncomfortable staring at her ass. I was questioned and told they would be asking our coworkers about it. This coworker has a history of making accusations that are unsubstantiated, but she has went unpunished and even promoted. I had already been in the process of applying at a neighboring agency. One phone call later, and I went back the next day and resigned, drew my two months of vacation pay and start my new job this weekend (with a healthy raise)
