Apparently there is someone in their 40s, wearing a denim jacket LEO are looking for. We have no idea why. A little disconcerting as we live in a quiet neighborhood.

Well now he knows to ditch the Canadian tuxedo.

That is what our Ring neighborhood watch said. I have no idea how accurate it is. The shelter order came from the PD.

I'm pretty sure they can look for a guy with a denim jacket at the very same time you go about your business. I'd probably just refrain from wearing a denim jacket.

I love my denim jacket... I have 3...

I'm sure we are safe in assuming that you sheltered in place with protection.

Just a misdemeanor, not like it's a denim vest (with snaps) or anything more serious.

"Shelter in place?" obviously, the police don't want more than one dude walking around in a denim jacket. Imagine the confusion!

Problem resolved with the bad guy apprehended. As for protection, we've had some serious security issues from work so we are already on heightened alert; we just didn't go outside last night.

These shelter in place alerts do nothing, for the most part, but sow fear and disrupt the normal course of daily life.

A year or so ago, we had a murderer (IIRC) escape here in town whilst being transferred to another facility. They'd stopped at the local gas station and somehow or another he got out and was on the run for a day or two. No "shelter in place" texts were put out. Rather, a lot of folks were out looking for the SOB. One of the neighbor ladies down the road spotted him down by the river and they nabbed him.

He, obviously, wasn't too bright. It'd be real easy to disappear around here.

But but can't be me they're looking for - I'm in my 70's but still lookin' good for it.

I used to have fleece-lined one that I wore in cooler weather. I loved it but I, I mean, it shrunk. Yeah that's it, it shrunk. Just around the middle. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
