An actual snippet I saw on Bing.

...According to local legend, the same stocky groundhog has been predicting the weather since at least 1886........

Too bad he missed his chance at stardom when the town of Punxsatawny refused to let him play himself in the film.

Well he only works ONE day per year; he’s still trying to accrue time for Medicare.

“…looks pretty good at 128 years old.”

Pssst! 1886 was 138 years ago. I’m guessing a simple typo, but I get my wife all revved up when I remind her that the 1980s were over 30 years ago. She insists it’s closer to 20, so this “typo” hits close to home.

Ol’ Phil must have a heckuva healthcare plan, btw.

Corrected. Thanks. The article actually said "at least" so he could be even older... Big Grin

Call me a conspiracy nut if you want, but I'm starting to think this whole groundhog thing may not be on the up and up.

Well, at least a groundhog still looks like a groundhog.

The local college football mascot has been replaced ten or so times already.

The amount of inbreeding that has gone on over the years makes the current dog look unrecognizable when compared to the original one.
