Help me oh mighty Sig Forum,

In the late 70’s or early 80’s there was a movie that featured, I believe they were “rats”. I do not remember the exact plot, but I do remember that in one critical scene one of the characters was arguing with another character, I believe his brother, and while pointing what I think was a revolver at his brother, said “mom always liked you best!” and then shot the pistol at his brother.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I recently found a copy. The quote was, "Here's a trick Mom taught me when you weren't around," I think, and it was a stylized Luger. They weren't rats, they were creature surviving a nuclear holocaust. I'll go up and look for the movie when my wife wakes up. We can talk later if you want me to ship it. It's not as cool as it was in '75.

Wow, thanks for that!

I’ve remembered that scene for years, and I’ve always wanted to watch it again. I’m sure it’s probably on YouTube, I just need the name of the movie! LOL.

I’m guessing you’re right, it will not hold up. When this movie was on, I was 11 years old and excited because I found an R-rated movie on Showtime!

I'll get you the title. Took me years of searching, so if you can't find it, pm me and I'll send it to you. I'm divesting myself of excess property anyway. Except guns, of course.

Wouldn't be "Coonskin" would it. From the description it kinda sounds like a Bakshi flick.

I believe you are talking about the movie Wizards.

Yup Wizards. Loved the ending.

American Pop was nice with a good sound track.

I have a DVD copy of Wizards, signed by Mr Bakshi. Just watched it the other evening. There's a certain "mindset" one should be to thoroughly enjoy it. Wink

Bakshi's also responsible for the odd animated/rotoscoped Lord of the Rings film from 1978.
