I took a pretty bad hit last quarter, I'll bet next quarter
won't be any better. I think I need to find a financial planner.

Terrible just like everyone else’s. What we have invested with our financial planner is losing less. In it for the long game so I don’t really sweat it right now.

With a balanced portfolio I believe there has only been one time in history where you would have less money over a 5 year time period so unless you are retiring soon I wouldn’t worry about it. I try to tell myself we’re buying cheaper right now.

Down about 12% since the first of the year. Three sectors that have made money are Utilities, Energy and global resources. In the past 12 months the portfolio is down about 3.5%.

Well for those of us that have 401, 403, 457, & ETC through work we are limited to choices of what your plan/company offers and your risk tolerance. Not a financial adviser, so at this point we/you are along for the ride. If you start moving stuff around now you are confirming your loss now. Historically the market has come back. With contributions going in 1 or 2 times a month it's impossible to time the market. Me, I'm sticking to my allocations and ridding it out with a retirement date of 3/1/28 same for wife. Hray

Mines right at the amount it was when Trump had the election stolen from him. The next day I moved it all from the market to a retirement savings trust. Actually it gained a few bucks on interest.

I have a financial planner and research the funds as well, the entire market is down right now. We were long overdue for a correction. Stocks are on sale, time to buy more. I'm down ~$55,000 right now.

My 401Ks were all converted to IRAs but it's more or less the same for the purposes of this discussion.

They're down, all of them, but they'll be back in the long run. No worries.
