With PSA's ammo sale and AE's rebate...

**And what's the difference between the XM855CS and XM855CSF?

Question:
Which ammo would you choose to add to the stock?

Choices:
AE223BK, .223 55gr FMJBT... 299
XM193BK, 5.56 55gr FMJBT... 299
XM855CS, 5.56 62gr FMJ Steel Core... 299
XM855CSF, 5.56 62gr FMJ Steel Core... 279

Here is the answer from PSA customer service from another site. Had an issue with the rebate, and this was also answered for another member.

"It is the exact same ammo as XM855CS. The "F" just designates that it was packaged at Federal."

Any M193 type ammo will have better terminal performance than any M855 type ammo. And it will probably be more accurate.

M193 for me any day. The range I shoot at won't allow M855 or any other steel core, plus the terminal performance if it would ever be pressed into duty.

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

All my ARs have 5.56 chambers, so I prefer Federal or IMI XM193, especially when it's around the same price as .223, but will stock up on either when I can get it for my target price of .30/round or less.

I chose the .223 because I can shoot it in both my rifles. The 5.56 would be limited to just one.
