“Bill and Hillary Clinton have declared themselves above the law as they refused to testify before Congress on Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday.
……
They claimed that a legal analysis submitted to the committee proved that they were not required to testify and insisted that the subpoenas were an extension of Trump's 'weaponization' of the law. …”

Yeah, right. Not.

Everything the libs/Dems complain that the Republicans are doing, they've already done themselves. Roll Eyes

All of this Epstein garbage just needs to go away. No one will be charged or convicted in it. It is merely a distraction. Let it go. He’s dead and it’s over.

No. That’s the exact wrong attitude. It’s what has just about wrecked Rome/cost them Ireland.

Hang everyone involved, is the correct answer.

Of course it is, but it’s never going to happen. It’s time to bury it and move on to more important issues.

USMS needs to skedaddle over and round'm up.

Epstein is over, Jan 6 is fading away.
Now it's affordability. If the economy skyrockets because of the BBB, then what are the libs going to bitch about?
The GOP may win the midterms.

Well, they kinda are. I'm with Gustofer on this one. I like to see them dragged through the mud, but I'm not holding my breath here.

I think a committee needs to find them in contempt and then I think the full House OR Senate must validate it. Then the USMS can pay them a visit.

Billdo may have a case for presidential immunity but he shouldn’t.

The Hildebeast has no such immunity - and should be arrested and jailed for contempt.

Not surprising. Sadly, like others have said, nothing will happen other than a lot of hand wringing and finger pointing.

I'm sure Bill wouldn't be too upset with that.

There's prob too much to lose all around with all kinds of powerful people, and those that depend on them directly and indirectly for their political and financial livelihood, that it will never see the light of day. Yea one of those things.

If the House votes for contempt, that will be up to Pammy to prosecute.

The Clintons will never voluntarily testify. They want to avoid it at all costs. The statute of limitations has likely run on their crimes, but lying to congress would be a new crime. Contempt of Congress is their best option.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

And to think about rumors of how many the Clintons made disappear.

I think most of Bill's time with Epstein was post presidency, which would mean he doesn't have immunity. And I don't think even pres. immunity covers non-official acts.

Even if they showed up for the hearing, they have spousal immunity (probably the only reason they're still married), and they'd just plead the Fifth in response to every question.

It would seem pointless indeed to require testimony from known liars in order to give them an opportunity to lie even more.
